Never let that lull you into a false sense of security- Have seen that type of banana skin tripped over several times before

That means nothing. How many times in my lifetime have I heard about the next opposition being on its knees with injuries? And the result is usually another unexpected home defeat.

And on the subject of Scunthorpe here is a fact of life from a long time ago.
In November 1958, Sheff Wed were top of Division Two. City beat them away 3-2, tremendous achievement for City.
The following Saturday, Scunthorpe, near the bottom of the league, arrived at The Gate and beat us 2-1.

As a teenager, I then understood the expression "After the Lord Mayor's show etc". It has happened all too often since. A good away win followed by a miserable home performance.

City players and crowd must be really up for the game. No complacency or else we all know what can occur!
