This is the quote from Sir Alex:

"Actually, Vida's knee is okay, It was concussion."
"He had a little bit of concussion but he's okay and fine. He trained yesterday and was good."

it was just a concussion and he resumed training yesterday.

This is fantastic news because against Liverpool it showed that we need him, he was brilliant, his and Rio's partnership is one of the best and they know each other's game so much.

Rio Ferdinand was also great against Liverpool.

their partnership could be vital in our race to win the title back off City.

also here's some news on young too:

"Young has got a dull knock, a little bit of a strain on the knee, but it's nothing serious."
"I think he'll be back next week. Maybe not for Tottenham but, the week after, he should be okay."

Also Nani and Rooney will feature against West ham which is also great news.

I'm really pleased to hear this, because our defence has struggled this season. If we can get Vidic back with a run of games under his belt before the Madrid game, then I think we have the best centre half in the world on our side.

Our defence is a strong one aslong as Vidic is in it, as he organises everyone else, and dominates like no defender I've ever seen physically.

Rio and Evans just aren't good enough together. One of them needs Vidic along side them, I'd preferably go with Evans and Vidic:biggrin:

I saw vidic holding his knee when he came off...

Does this mean his brain is situated in his knee? <whistle>
It could explain why he can head the ball so well!

Great news but I want SAF to continue what he has being doing by allowing Vidic to play only necessary games until he is fully recovered.
