Morning All, Yep, Im still in mourning too, was it just me, or did the rest of you have a sick feeling ten minutes from time that coventry were goin to rob us of two points. When you dominate as much as we did, and only have one goal for our troubles, and miss from 6 yards, you kinda get a feeling that its not going to be your day. Hopefully Lonergan will be back on Saturday, should we make any other changes? For those of you that made the match, how would you sum the match up and what ratings would you give our team? Song of the day:- Queen, No one but you.
Rachubka-4 Nothing to do all day bar 1 thing which he failed to do, distribution is poor White - 7 another solid performance, they where poor so didnt threat enough to pressure Odea - 6 dealt with everything in the air, great finish for the goal but should have scored an easy header Lees - 5 went un-noticed did okay against Coventrys hoofball Snodgrass - 6 very good going forward and tracking back, got a stupid booking which forced his substitution Clayton - 6 solid still tries doing too much fancy stuff for my liking and will get caught out soon Howson - 4 non existent, distribution was poor, we needed him to take it by the scruff and he failed Pugh - 6 wasnt really involved, great movement at corners Keogh - 6 not the best for him but okay definately better than either replacement] McCormack 6 great movement, would get a 7 if not for that awful miss Becchio - 4 not fit made no impact Forssell - 4 miles too fat won no balls needs to lose weight or offloading Varynen - 4 did he touch the ball? Grayson - 1 Awful substitutions brought off all our attacking threats and replaced them with unfit useless players, invited pressure from a very poor Coventry side Typically a Leeds fan scores the winning goal against us Anyway move on to Peterborough
I trust him, He was said to be gutted about the mistake, but to me his mistake was no worse than McCormacks miss!! Hes a good keeper but had nothing to do all day and typically the one thing he has to do he ****s up! His distribution was awful!
Kissa/All Personally, I dont think Grayson deserves credit for the defence, he completely ignored Connelly and played Lees out of position, once he played Lees in his natural position, he is showing what he can do.
Not a great night one & all. But as someone said, we'll need to be up for the game on Saturday. Peterborough winning 4-3 last night suggests our defence, midfield & Rachubka should have much more to do. Still only 3pts behind auto with a game in hand, albeit against Birmingham who won't be apush over. Hope to see some of you on Saturday, as Lord Bates of Monaco has kindly sent me a ticket for the game (although I did have to pay for it!!).
I think putting lees at right back to start was a great move well thought out by Grayson, Connolly wasnt 100% fit and putting Lees in at RB helped him get used to the pace of the championship and standard then when connolly got fit stick him in the deep end
Thats a powerful statement Essex, disagree Kissa, would you put Snodds in goal to improve his agility?
Well I agree with myself Its not quite the same as Snoddy going in goal is it! I think Grayson has been instrumental in the development of Tom Lees into a great Centre Back and he has potential to be future england Centre Back just my opinion tho
And I also dont think that the Batesout chants help anyone and it definately finds its way onto the field! Booing at the end was un necessary and it wont do any good for their confidence
for anyone thats interested Andy Lonergan 2011/12 English League Championship GAMES SAVES CLEAN SHEETS 10 55 2 5.5 Saves per match Kasper Schmeichel 2011/12 English League Championship GAMES SAVES CLEAN SHEETS 11 56 5 5.1 Saves per match
What a let down last night was..Ermmmmm now where ave i heard that befor..???..(no not the wife..LOL..). Totaly gutted at the final whistle...Though did say 15 mins or so befor we where gonna roo all those missed chances... But in typical Leeds style we play in small patch's ...Then switch of for a while...And spend the last part of the games with our back up againts our goal.. As they say it aint easy being a Leeds supporter and that aint half right.
Badge win our game in hand and we are joint second so we arnt doing bad mate, Coventry where so poor last night no way should we have not taken full points. Only positive is we never signed that Clingan he is awful and has a worse shot than Bradley Johnson
I feel sick every time I look at the table and where we should have been today. Joint second with a game in hand. Ive seen their goal a couple of times and I can tell you Rachubka is no goalie. God help us if he's gonna be in goals for six weeks
Dont get me wrong Kissa more than happy where we are..Just dissapointed as everyone is that we let 2 point slip away. When we should ave won by a clear 2/3 goals at least... Sounded as if it was a bit chilly up there last night...Think i might need to pack a extra layer for me weekender in 1wk 3 days Whoop,whoop.... Oh Boggers enjoy yur trip up mate..i'll ave me fingers crossed for yur the lads give yur a win...
