Good Morning Crew, Are we in in attendance? Got thinking yesterday, what or who bought us to the Not606 board. There are a few to choose from, so what makes the Leeds Not606 board your home??? Were you, or are you members of another board, were you reccommended? And here is the latest news with your favourite club.... On this day in history... 2008 Leeds striker Tresor Kandol joins Millwall on a six month loan deal. 2009 Leeds sign midfielder Michael Doyle from Coventry City on a season long loan. With Jermaine Beckford refusing to sign a new deal and firstly being placed on the transfer list only for the club to withdraw that decision, Leeds boss Simon Grayson says the striker will be going nowhere until the end of the season.Speaking on BBC Look North, Grayson said 'Jermaine will not be leaving, unless it`s a ridiculous offer, he`ll be with us until at least the end of May, hopefully he`s got us another 30 to 40 goals again and got us promoted and he`s signed a new deal'. 2010 After being released by Leeds at the end of last season, goalkeeper Casper Ankergren signs for Brighton and Hove Albion.Leeds sign Manchester City midfielder Adam Clayton on a one month loan deal. 2011 Southampton inflict a 3-1 defeat on Leeds on the opening day of the season at St Mary`s. Leeds look poor throughout and have only a late consolation penalty from Max Gradel to cheer about. Other News Paynter looks set to sign for donny. Good luck to the lad, he always tried (our patience), but never really made it... Peltier has finally signed. Its believed to be in the region of £500,000, with adds on which could amount to another £350,000. Thoughts? We look set to get one or two more, but who are they going to be?
Morning Elland. Why did I end up here? Because BBC 606 closed down & JA is too full of whining abusive WUMs. I go back there sometimes to Post, but not as often as I used to. I thought it was 4-1 on the opening day last season. Terrible game & AOB should never have played if, as we now know, he wasn't fully fit. Peltier in now guves us a solid looking back 4. Austin & Brown in the centre of midfield. An attacking three in front with Becchio & Ross up top. Looking positive at the moment.
Morning Boggers, I don't get to many games, but that one v Southampton is the only game I've ever left at half time, we were awful. I too was on the old 606 site, Leeds-18 (Jerrell) posted a link to not606, and I thought I'd give it a try...
Morning everyone I genuinely have no idea how I ended up here. This is the first forum I have actually been involved in and think somehow I stumbled onto it, can't remember really though. It may have been from Jerel's link from 606 because I did occasionally go on there to browse Anyway, I still think we need a winger, must be a priority. We could use another striker as well but we really do need a quality winger. The team does look better than last season although it also looks a lot more dull
We certainly need another striker. We don't know how Somma will be when he finally returns & we can't guarantee Ross will either still be with us in a few weeks or will deliver another 20 goals this season. Not sure about another winger. We have White, Rodgers, & one of the new guys can also play out wide, although I can't remember which one.
Varney can play out wide but White isn't really a winger and he isn't really good enough in my eyes. Rogers looks quite promising but is kinda untested in the championship and Varney doesn't shout quality at me. I think we need to replace Snoddy really Upfront we have Becchio and McCormack who are both good enough, then we have Somma, Gray and Varney can also play upfront (which is his favoured position I believe). Ideally I'd like us to replace Becchio but its not absolutely necessary. Winger is more important in my eyes, need creativity
Can't see Warnock being in any rush to replace Becchio. He does the hard yards when we have a main striker. That said, something I heard on Saturday suggests Warnock & Becchio may not necessarily be seeing eye to eye. So we'll see on that one.
Morning Boggers, Josh, Elland and all thats about to join. Give me Templeton and Becks and I will be happy Think I signed up to a few sites when BBC was winding down. When I first started to post on here I believe it was only Jerrel (aka loiner) Simon and the crazy billyboy as regulars! Great to see this place grow. JA seems like a play ground for juniors with a few exceptions that I wish would move over here! JAs numbers will dwell going forward as the layout is so dated that when new posters are looking to sign up it wont be for the reason that it was a carbon copy of BBC otherwise they would have done it before!
Morning all... I did a search and looked at a few forums. Due to a lot of the work I do online I have always used forums, I am used to this format and can't stand the old bbc 606 format which has been copied on JA606. I don't have a problem with a forum if it is over negative or positive as long as you don't receive abuse and silly accusations for being in non agreement so that side of ja606 doesn't bother me, it is just the format I don't like. A MASSIVE + 1 on that one, sadly unless the T/O happens I don't believe we have much more than £500K to £750K so I fear the target is more likely going to be Boyd, I just hope we don't sacrifice McCormack for a Boyd+CMS combo.
I posted a bit on the original BBC site and when it shut down I went over to JA originally, but then it crashed for a couple of days so I tried this site and found it was much better. For me Templeton should be a top priority, fantastic close control, quick and has a goal or two in him. I liked him before but then I saw the highlights from Saturday to confirm we need to go for him: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19025830 Younger than Snoddy and has the potential to be better because of his pace, more of a Gradel type tbh.
I'm signed up to JA606 but it seems to be full of wums and "fans" that do nothing but criticise signings.
Same as everyone else was on the old 606 didnt like JA it was full of people moaning at each other so I found my natural home Agreed about templeton fantastic prospect with good pace as well !!
