Morning Everyone, The fixture list is out, and relegated Wolves are the first visitors of Elland Road for the 2012/2013 season. This, I believe will be a good yard stick as to where the season takes us. There is a hell of a lot of work to be done in the transfer market in order to install confidence in the fans and the players.... Warnock has come out and said he is relishing the opener against Wolves!!! Should we understand that as Warnock is staying??? Do we think that when we start to buy players in, Warnock will look abroad? Are some of the players who have played for the lesser teams in the euro's out of our grasp? What about players from the African continent??? One thing that has not been mentioned so far this pre season is loan players. Are we going to rely on loan players this season, is Warnock a fan? This is a list of players, both ins and outs that has attracted media attention regarding the Mighty Whites :- Week 1 IN El Hadji Diouf - (Doncaster) Alan Smith - (Newcastle) Jermaine Beckford - (Leicester) Stuart Beavon - (Wycombe Wanderers) Jason Pearce - (Portsmouth) Signed Greg Halford - (Portsmouth) Joel Ward - (Portsmouth) Luke Varney - (Portsmouth) David Norris - (Portsmouth) Ben Watson - (Wigan Athletic) Paul Green - (Derby County) Darren Ambrose - (Crystal Palace) Sol Bamba - (Leicester City) Matt Mills - (Leicester City) Out Aidy White - (Newcastle United) Ramon Nunez - (Doncaster Rovers) Week 2 IN George Boyd - (Peterborough United) George Friend - (Doncaster Rovers) Simon Gillett - (Doncaster Rovers) Tommy Spurr - (Doncaster Rovers) Richard Keogh - (Coventry City) Week 3 IN Clint Hill - (QPR) Paddy Kenny - (QPR) Michael Owen - (Manchester United) OUT Adam Clayton - (Bolton & Burnley) Week 4 IN Steve Davies - (Derby County) Ian Harte - (Reading) OUT Ross McCormack - (Wigan & West Ham) Aidy White - (Celtic & Arsenal) Billy Paynter - (Portsmouth) Luciano Becchio - (Sheffield Wednesday) Robert Snodgrass - (Norwich, Newcastle, Stoke & West Brom) Week 5 IN Shaun Derry - (QPR) Jamie Mackie - (QPR) Tommy Smith - (QPR) Lee Peltier - (Leicester City) OUT Ross McCormack - (Huddersfield Town) Week 6 IN Matt Kilgallon - (Sunderland) Inigo Calderon - (Brighton) OUT Andy Lonergan - (Bolton Wanderers) Aidy White - (Lille & Werder Bremen) Robert Snodgrass - (Aston Villa) Billy Paynter - (Brentford & Notts County) Week 7 IN OUT Neil Warnock - (Nottingham Forest)

QPR seem to think that we are signing him tomorrow but I dont think it matters that much Good morning everyone btw
Morning Elland and all - Each week I feel that we must surely be approaching a conclusion to the takeover, then Friday arrives and another week has passed, so damn frustrating. Warnock might leave if the takeover does not happen, however he flew out to meet Bates last week and he is still our manager so I take that as a positive. I do believe the takeover will happen, it is just a case of when. Once Warnock has been given the green light and a few quid to spend there will be a right buzz about the place. Warnock in charge, the chance of playing for a team with financial backing, a team offering wages that are the going rate, I think the signings will flow in nice and easy. Remember our targets were Warnocks targets under Bates, yes I still feel he will want a few of those but add a few million to his war chest and watch the attentions change to those of a little better ability. Instead of targeting the likes of Peltier and Mills his attention may well turn to players who are Leicester targets like James Chester.
Morning Ristac, I know exactly what you mean. Give Warnock two mill, and we are in for a chance of the automatic spots... Looks like Hull are signing Heskey, thoughts? Im going for a Heskey after the England match. (A-MEAL )
I don't rate Heskey in the slightest, with an average of 10 goals a season and with Hull's poor scoring record last season I am surprised. I can only assume Bruce is going to be going the direct route. Those that rate Heskey argue that he provides goals for others, give me a striker who nets himself 20+ any day. Leave the assists to the midfielders, Snoddy grabbed himself double figures on the assists and 13 goals from midfield. At the moment Leicester, Hull and a few others are loving the negative vibes around us at the moment, if/when a takeover goes through and with cash at Warnocks disposal watch them **** their pants when we start signing not just their targets but their best players too
Im not really a Heskey fan, especially with the weight he is carrying at his age. I do like the idea of having a big target man, who can hold the ball up, and lay it off
I can't see much of the dead wood leaving before the end of July, maybe as teams start their pre-season matches we might see a few leave. When we are rich with our new owners anyone for a part exchange cash plus player deal Bruce to Hull in exchange for Chester so that father and son can be re-united.
Morning all. I always thought that Heskey, being seriously big & powerful, should be sending average defenders flying as he tees up another goal for his striking partner. Trouble is, as we sawhen he played for England, he rarely delivered. Pity, but I wouldn't waste moneyon him now. On Kenny and to reppeat what I've said before, why would we buy Kenny when Lonners is more than good enough? As to all the others we're being linked with, I'll jt sit back & wait to see what happens. I just want this takeover to happen so that we/Warnock can move forward at a pace.
Morning all, nice to see the vibes becoming more positive. My gran did a Heskey yesterday...fell over all on her own.
