Morning Peeps, A last gasp equilizer from Wolves after a mistake from Kenny saw the Mighty Whites drop two points. At this stage of the season that could have been the difference between play offs and staying in the second tier for another season. Interesting to hear Dean Saunders afterwards saying it was no more than they deserved. Listening to the game on the radio, it sound like we had the better of the game, and Pelts og came mainly against the run of play. Is this Leeds finished for another season? Why didn't Barkley play instead of Brown. You could just imagine Warnock offering Brown a 5 year deal at the end of the season Sheffield Utd are keen to take Poleon on loan til the end of the season. Warnock initially sees this as a positive, but only if Leeds can strengthen during the emergency loan period. West Brom are joined by a host of Premiership clubs interested in securing Sam Byram in the Summer. Leeds Hiarachy, if you're listening, this is because we are seen as a selling club. All another club has to do is to wave a few quid infront of our noses and you'll jump at the chance. Shame on you Leeds board.... And talking about the Leeds board, a new consortium has put a package together to buy Leeds Utd (again)!!!! All we know is that it is a Yorkshire consortium, (and blow me down with a feather, a very light one) they said NO. Very interesting that they do know how to say no. Ex Leeds and hull Chairman ASdam Pearson is believed to be behind the takeover. So Leeds fans, what do we think???
Morning Elland and all. I'm rushing away this morning so must be brief. Middlesbro game will define our season. Anything less than a win and its over, end of. No surprise Byram being lined up next to move, also expect McCormack to go during the summer. Dont worry though, many will say it's for the greater good and we'll be better without them. Maybe they're right, I'm not that bothered anymore. On the takeover, we dont know what money the yorkshire consortium have but it likely wont be any less than gfh seem to have. Therefore I'd probably prefer local owners that should have a better concept of whats needed at Leeds. However early days
As a fan I'm gutted at the last 2 results, because we deserved to win both games. As a fan I'm now expecting another season down in this league. As a fan, I'll be glad when GFH come out and make a real statement as to their position, because ever since the t/o we've seen nothing but contradiction. Ever since they wrestled the club away from Bates, I've been expecting some other investors to come in. It was always on the cards because GFH were originally fronting a consortium, but these investors pulled out because of Bates not willing to take future responsibility for anything that came out of the woodwork. GFH knew the club was a good bet, so decided to go it alone and look for new investors. That's obviously been going on, and the latest revelation about some group wanting to take 51% and control was never going to happen. GFH will sell the club once they get a good return on their investment, and that will be when we get promoted, and not until. Until then they want investment to allow us to go for promotion and there's plenty out their willing to come in. It'll be just a case of sifting through the options and getting rid of the chancer's until they find the best partner.
Morning Eire, Interesting that Warnock still believes we can make the play offs, but surely Boro IS a must win game. Lets hope the takeover is just investment. Would be nice to have local investment. Did you see the Rugby yesterday?
Morning Doc, Couldn't agree more about GFH. If they come out and say they have no money and are waiting for investment, then fair enough. Not great, but at least we would know.
Morning all, Looking at 2 seasons ago in the Championship and Reading comfortably achieved the playoffs, despite trailing 6th placed Leeds by 9pts with 15 games to play. They did this, however with a fantastic winning run, something i very much doubt we are capable of. So win, lose or draw on Tuesday and the playoffs aren't over, but were they ever truly on the cards? Not in my view they weren't. Blackburn and Brighton face each other tomorrow night also, if i had to put a bet on who will get 6th spot, it would be on either of these 2.
Watched the rugby. Was built up to a great game but our watery Irish weather put paid to that. Poor game but a fair result
I messaged him about a year ago telling him about this consortium thats involved. My dad is good friends with 1 involved and he buys his wagons off him. Also my dad just bought his car off him
If you look at the fixtures week by week, lots of teams are playing each other in the top half of the division, plus use the Posh result against Festa as an example, anything can happen, we just need a bit of a run and i still feel we can get into top six.
