    Alrite Peeps,

Another 3 points chalked up, and suddenly we are hovering just below the play off zone. Seems we were more than a little bit lucky with some of the decisions, and we were not playing that well BUT if we keep picking up points when we are not playing well, that stands us in good stead for the season.

Who saw the Pen, , who would have had the guts to to the same in front of 25,000 people. Pelts had spoken to Becchio during a training session, and had told him the next pen he took, he weas going to chip it down the middle.

Michael Tonge will find out the extend of his ligiment damage today. The on loan Stoke City midfielder was forced off in the second half after hurting his shoulder and Warnock says the early diagnosis is not as bad as first though.Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "It is not as bad as I first thought. I thought he had dislocated his shoulder but it is a ligament that is damaged. We will now more in the next 48 hours

Meanwhile Green, Norris and Varney are all fit again and made the bench.

GFH Capital, the have rejected claims from club chairman Ken Bates that its lawyers are purposefully delaying a takeover, saying the deal is “in a good place.”
GFH responded to critical comments made by Bates ahead of Saturday game against Barnsley by insisting it was “in everyone’s interests to get the deal done as soon as possible.” (David Haigh, attended United’s 1-0 win over Barnsley, sitting with Bates in the directors box at Elland Road).

Bates, appeared to cast fresh doubt on the proposed takeover when he said: “The real problem is (GFH Capital’s) lawyers because this is a straightforward deal by anyone’s standards.

“They appear to be making complications when there’s no need to do so. They’re moving at a very slow rate.
“I know GFH want to complete a deal and we are happy to do a deal with them but when last-minute things are slipped in, it makes things difficult.

“By GFH’s standards this isn’t a very big deal and I don’t know what the delay is. All I can say to the fans is don’t blame me.”
But the source at GFH Capital said: “Delaying the deal would serve no purpose and it’s not in GFH Capital’s interests to take any longer than necessary.

“The lawyers on both sides have work to do because, needless to say, there’s a process involved in buying a football club. To claim otherwise would be crazy.

“But GFH Capital wants this to happen and the money is there to make it happen.

“It’s in everyone’s interests to get the deal done as soon as possible.”

    Over to you peeps

Good morning! (and it is, despite the rain)

Starting to feel like in this league, you should aim for 1 point at home and 3 away, to get promoted (7 away wins, only 4 home wins, on Saturday). So any sort of win was great news.

A bit of a break then 3 more winnable league games in October. I predicted 10 points from the 4 games, so we are tracking well so far.<ok>

I just hope Becchio does not try that again, its the sort of thing that you should only do once in a blue moon.

As you say, just outside the playoffs and every chance we will be in them on 1 November. Not bad at all, so far. If we can get the T/O sorted and some players in, we could still puch on and get promoted this season. Its not impossible.

The gate was poor, btw. I can see that improving if the above happens. People like me might even start turning up ;)

    Morning 2020,

When the takeover completes, I can see our gates going above 30,000.

Morning all. Bad time for international break in all honesty. Just when we were building up a nice bit of momentum. Still, I suppose, the rest of our walking wounded should be repaired over next two weeks and who knows, the stupid lawyers in London might have gotten their act together. The one positive I got from Bates state of nation address, is how anxious he now seems to get the takeover done. Its no longer a wishy washy investment thing as he was claiming some weeks back

    Morning Eire,

I love the fact that weekly things are being leaked now, so much for confidentiality <ok>

    Morning all <ok>

Shame about Tonge's injury, I really thought he was starting to come into his own. Hopefully he won't be out for too long, and even if he is, Green and Norris are back now, so we have a lot of competition in the centre, which is great! Almost forgot we had Varney to be honest! He's proven over the years he's a useful player in this division, so hopefully he'll sort his form out as well.

We will see 25k if Takeover gets complete, if ticket prices are reduced we will see 30k plus but can't see them reducing prices tbh the new boys are in it for the money!!

I think we will be high 20k's in second half of season, after takeover AND after some sign of investment (and obviously the results going with that) .

I think ticket prices are not the most important factor (not saying they don't affect it, but not the biggest factor), people won't pay because they stopped believing. The 25k estimate is a bit lowball, YWBK.

I still believe a lot of people will find another excuse to not go in these difficult financial times cant see us getting more than 27k tbh if prices stay as they are.

We will have to wait and see though :)

We really are not a big club anymore. Our gates have collapsed to second highest in the division (Wednesday got 500 more for their derby with Ull)

It's stupid to compare us to another team while our prices are as they are and many fans are boycotting. To be honest we're doing incredibly well to be second in the division.

Prices will get reduced, but not until next season. The owners would have to offer partial refunds to season ticket holders if they reduce ticket prices
