Morning all, I'm not expecting the takeover to happen any time soon. I saw the reports yesterday saying it was done and dusted and signed by Saturday. I then saw something from Duncan Castles who said Bates had cancelled a meeting, lawyers were involved and Bates is clinging on by a thread. The latest argument is about the money that the new people put into Warnocks pocket to get White's contract done and to bring in Peltier. Bates says that money should have gone to him as it was payment for the exclusivity he gave them. Whatever happens though, it looks like these new guys have some form of stake in the club, if they have put money in. Bates is fooked and I for one would dearly love to him bending over getting his arse pumped. I hope we put up a good show against Blackburn, a team who get given £48m for failure ...... What a joke the parachute payments are. Hence why Blackpool look like champions elect already, and Wolves can bring in multi million pound players from abroad. Pags got it from Jonty who got it from me. I'm not confirming or denying that Willis told me but I can say that the person who did would have no reason at all to tell me this out of the blue. I contacted that person after a few years of not being in touch and merely asked if I could ask a few things about Bates. His reply was that he assumed I knew that the club has been sold today and there will be an announcement by the new chairman on Saturday before the game.

Well banks close soon, I guess we shall not be seeing the takeover happen this week.
