Good Morning Leeds fans and a very Happy New Year, trust everyone had a good one

Not for the first time, we came back from behind to snatched a win against Burnley with seconds to spare. It was nothing more than we deserved having dominated from the time Trippier was sent off for his second bookable.

    On the agenda today :-

    i) Is the Kisnorbo injury a blessing in disguise?

ii) When is Gimpel going to be given an opportunity?

    iii) How great is Townsend

iv) Townsend is similar to Gradel. If we had kept Gradel, what position would we be in now?

    v) Grayson said after the Barnsley game that 'some players had just played there last game for Leeds'. Following that statement, Connelly was dropped not only from the starting xi, but the bench as well. Do we ever expect to see him again in a Leeds shrt?

vi) With Bruce and Kissa injured (and lets not forget that a month ago Bruce was saying he wanted to stay at Huddersfield) hmmmmm..... do we really want to see O'Dea with Lees at the heart of our defence?

vii) Who do we expect to sign next?

viii) Pugh signs 2 1/2 year deal with us, thoughts?

Song of the day. Yazz. The only way is up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeyOnNple4M

    i) I dont think this is a blessing in disguise, i understand he is not playing well and he isn't playing well but O'Dear is worse

ii) Next year, i heard we were going to offer him a contract but he wanted to finish some schooling first (or something along those lines) so we are set to offer him a first team contract next year

    iii) awesome

iv) I think thats hard to say in truth, it may have made a significant difference or may not have. What-ifs always seem rosier than the reality could have actually have been. We could be 3rd or we clould be in the exact same position

    v) No in truth, as i have said before, i reckon he is going to brighton for 300k. Heard alot about it and if grayson says he wont be playing again i cant see it

vi) I dont want to see O'Dear there but i dont think thats gonna change. I think we desperately need to sign a CB (Maybe St. Ledger)

vii) Im hoping either lichaj or a CB. we need in other positions as well but these are more important. But then again the next signing could be anyone's guess or it could even be no one (Grayson only said he was gonna sign 2 players and if you include Pugh, he has signed 2 players already)

viii) Not happy about the alleged 500k signing fee but a useful player to have around, i think it could been spent more wisely but again a goo player to have in the squad. He will be used so not a bad signing i suppose. I just feel a bit sometimes like he is more covering players than playing his own game and not a massive influence on the creative side of the game.

Anyway, happy new year, albeit a bit late

Morning Elland, morning Josh. Is Bruce injured? Lees wasn't allowed to play yesterday as the rules state a minimum of 7 days between concussion accident & playing again. Should be back to the Arsenal game. Pugh's signing I think is a good one. He's versatile in that he can fit in & do a job anywhere on the Left for LB to LW to centre left. Useful addition. Could do with bulking up a bit if SG is going to use him regularly as a DM. Good result yesterday, even if the 2nd goal did take an age to arrive.

Think SG may have got the message McCormack was trying to send. Would be interesting now, given Becchio's workrate yesterday, to see how a front 2 of Becchio feeding McCormack works against Arsenal. Result doesn't matter as long as we give them a game. By the way whilst I think of it, what are the odds on our Spurs loanee either scoring or setting up the winner for the cup game against Arsenal?

    i) Depends if/who we get in.
ii) Pre-season before next, see how he does.
    iii) Very.
    iv) Hard to gauge.
    v) Possibly. Think Larry was possibly just letting off some steam, but he'll have to work bloody hard in training.
vi) Yes, unless we can get someone better in.
    vii) A CB.
viii) Good signing. Gives us options.

HNY guys, all beit late, better late than ever.
Feel a lot better today, last night Mrs Doha took me off suicide watch.
That Townsend sounded a bit of what we needed to inject some life into the side.
Is Bruce injured? remember him haveing Fabregas last time and he did not want to know there after.

    So upwards and onwards.....MOT

    i) Is the Kisnorbo injury a blessing in disguise? Yes , Kisnorbo was a revelation in League one but the championship and the injury has not helped him 1 bit, love the guy but hes too slow

ii) When is Gimpel going to be given an opportunity? He asked not to be played this season

iii) How great is Townsend, he was good fast as **** good feet lacked the final ball, tried hard to impress (didnt like him n nunez arguing over the free kick.

iv) Townsend is similar to Gradel. If we had kept Gradel, what position would we be in now? I miss Gradel

    v) Grayson said after the Barnsley game that 'some players had just played there last game for Leeds'. Following that statement, Connelly was dropped not only from the starting xi, but the bench as well. Do we ever expect to see him again in a Leeds shrt? Jon flanagan from Liverpool is a target, but id love to get Lichaj back Connolly kicked off at beginning of season when he was dropped and Grayson fell out with him he will go this month

vi) With Bruce and Kissa injured (and lets not forget that a month ago Bruce was saying he wanted to stay at Huddersfield) hmmmmm..... do we really want to see O'Dea with Lees at the heart of our defence? Odea is awful and once Bruce is fit play him, id love to see danny collins come in

vii) Who do we expect to sign next? Keith Andrews, Lichaj Collins then we should be fine, maybe a left back because Aidy white is deffo going

viii) Pugh signs 2 1/2 year deal with us, thoughts?

    i) Is the Kisnorbo injury a blessing in disguise? Not really. O'Dea is awful and either way, we still needed a new defender to be signed.

ii) When is Gimpel going to be given an opportunity? Hopefully soon. I'd rather him than O'Dea.

iii) How great is Townsend? Very good!

iv) Townsend is similar to Gradel. If we had kept Gradel, what position would we be in now? I don't think that Townsend score the goals that Gradel did, but we'd certainly be in the top 6.

    v) Grayson said after the Barnsley game that 'some players had just played there last game for Leeds'. Following that statement, Connelly was dropped not only from the starting xi, but the bench as well. Do we ever expect to see him again in a Leeds shrt? I hope so. We need two RBs in a squad, and Connolly is currently the out and out RB. We should be looking to get another one in January, but not condemn Connolly to never playing. Can't rely on Bruce/Thompson at Rightback until the end of the season.

vi) With Bruce and Kissa injured (and lets not forget that a month ago Bruce was saying he wanted to stay at Huddersfield) hmmmmm..... do we really want to see O'Dea with Lees at the heart of our defence? O'Dea doesn't deserve to run out at Elland Road wearing the white of Leeds United.

vii) Who do we expect to sign next? ...I'd like to see a CB, CM, Striker, RB and possibly another winger. But I expect probably 1 more signing.

viii) Pugh signs 2 1/2 year deal with us, thoughts? Not good enough. Decent squad player, but people can't keep banging on about Grayson's budget, when he spends money on this average player.

I really don't get the O'Dea hate. He's hardly great but he's been our 2nd best CB next to Lees. Worth holding on to as backup IMO.

Simon anyone looks good when they are replacing Kisnorbo!!!

Odea is not bad but he has made some stupid **** ups, their goal yesterday all came from Odea playing head tennis with the burnley player!

Barnsley goal Kissa ****ed up n then Odea came to clear the ball n totally missed it
