Morning Everyone, Blackpool make the short trip to Elland Road tomorrow, and whilst promotion is out of our grasps, is would certainly be advantageous not to be dragged into a relegation dog fight. Anyone fancy doing the match thread v Blackpool (please) <beg> Gary Cooper has agreed to do an exclusive interview with not606. This will give him an opportunity to air his views and for us to highlight our board. Can I ask you to to think up questions you would like to ask the LUST Chairman. If you want any further information please pm me. What are GFH up to? If they are looking for substantial investment, we need it now before its too late. Look how long it took for investment to come in over the Summer and the players we missed out on because of it. Has Warnock really been given a chance? If they do not plan on keeping Warnock on, does he know already? If so, why not let the fans know...
Morning Elland, morning BUFFER, morning those joining. All I would ask GC would be, are GFH in for the long haul or are they trying to turn round a quick profit by selling on? If the former, will they be making significant funds available in the summer for the inevitable new manager?
Morning all. Fair to say we're in limbo until finance and manager are sorted. Results almost meaningless except of course for the three wins needed for comfort. Without knowing how much loot well have, if any, no way of predicting how many of this useless squad we'll have next season. Only three or four worth keeping, Rosco, Lees, Byram and maybe Brown for a year. Not too bothered if the rest that played against city were moved on. Do we pm the questions or stick them up here for Gary?
Morning all. Questions for GC is a good shout and I hope he doesn't try and evade anything. With this in mind: 1) Were LUST wise to speak to the media early last summer about players who had contacted LUST, saying they were disheartened? - There was no proof that this ever happened and even the red top lazy journo's refused to pick it up. 2) Were LUST wise to tell us all that they were in the know about the takeover, and then made fools of themselves later, when it became apparent that they didn't know that the original backers had pulled out and GFH were going it alone. I believe these 2 points cost LUST a lot of support, because early on they had everyone behind them and everyone was thinking that at last the fans now had a voice. Many fans then decided they knew more than LUST and LUST were just hunting for media attention. They lost the good will of many fans I'm afraid.
Good questions, Regarding question two, GC was probably in a lose lose situation, and would have been asked whether or not they were in the know, and being a supporters group, we'd hope they would tell us the information anyway. Keep em coming!
I have a question for GC. Does Mike Myers intend to do an Austin Powers 4 - and if so, will he be in it again?
Question for Gary. Are GFH communicating in any way with LUST, either directly or through a third party. If they are not willing to communicate with a supporters group of 8,500 members, whether they agree with them or not, it would look like they are still taking directions from Bates as Harvey has already attended a LUST meeting. If not communicating at all, what efforts have LUST made to set up a meeting face to face with them
I had an update on my facebook page giving me the following link http://fearandloathinginls11.wordpr...erview-part-1-lust-and-7-month-takeover-saga/ According to the article that is a question and answer that is going to be posted tomorrow
Marko the question is still relevant though, because GC very late in the day came out and said he was shocked that GFH were now going it alone? If he was in the know as he was spouting off about right from day one, why did he not know who the buyer was? Remember GC said he was close to the deal, and even met the potential new owners and was very happy with them???
I only have one question, its an honest one that will decide whether or not I rejoin LUST - Gary, when will you resign as Chairman of LUST and leave the management team completely? I ask this because I simply don't trust you anymore. Thank you for understanding.
Highly unfair to call someone's reputation into question without allowing them to answer whatever doubts than may be ruminating in your mind. Very cowardly.
GFH as ever played on words, Marko. Read this .... http://fearandloathinginls11.wordpr...erview-part-1-lust-and-7-month-takeover-saga/ The pertinent paragraphs are as follows .... When conversation moves on to the day that LUST announced that the takeover process had collapsed and the bidder had walked away, Gary becomes more guarded in his responses. Much speculation has centred around whether a major backer pulled out that day, leaving the remaining players to struggle on alone to tie up a deal, especially as some believe that backer has now returned in the form of the fresh bid from the Middle East for a controlling stake in the club. Salem Patel in the David Conn piece revealed that GFH-C never had a major backer behind them, contrary even to claims made by Ken Bates who spoke of a “very, very wealthy backer” as a deal neared completion. So what is the truth? “I’ve got to be very careful what I say, because again, those people who we were speaking to in the lead up to that announcement may still have some kind of interest going forward. When we put that statement out it was correct at the time of going to press. There was later, a significant changes in the shape and structure of things during the course of the day, which we became aware of about 2 hours after the announcement. We contacted the club and were asked not to release anything further until they put out their own statement – we honoured that.” Then a key revelation, that possibly shades new light and offers an explanation to the conflicting messages over the conflicting messages from Bates and Patel… “I don’t want to criticise GFH-C, but I’ll say this. When they release statements the wording is chosen very carefully so they can’t be accused of misguiding anyone, or not telling the truth…but at times, that truth can be misleading. What they said today in the Guardian newspaper, that there never was a wealthy backer behind them…well, GFH-C never had a wealthy backer, but the same may not be true of GFH and they’re two separate entities who’ve played two different roles.” That is as far as the conversation goes, as Gary is reluctant to be drawn further for now with the new incumbents being at such a delicate stage in attempting to attract new investment.
Does anyone else feel that the whole of this season has been like 50-shades of grey, without any fanny
