Morning Troops,

I see Millwall have started to prepare for THEIR Cup final early. I can't wait. They'll get more stuffing than Benard Matthews....
LEEDS UNITED are set to turn their attentions elsewhere after being rebuffed in an attempt to sign Stoke City striker Cameron Jerome on loan.
The Huddersfield-born frontman appeared to be heading to Elland Road last Thursday only for Potters manager Tony Pulis to perform a U-turn.

Austin’s leg is still swollen, meaning a scan is unlikely to take place until today. But there is cautious optimism within Elland Road that the Jamaican may not have suffered a break after all!!!

We are also hoping for some positive news over Pearce after lodging an appeal against the red card – brandished for an ugly challenge on Hornets’ goalscorer Matej Vydra – and the defender’s subsequent three-game ban.

How would you rate Kenny against his previous counterparts, Lonnergan and Schmeichel? In order of 1st, 2nd and 3rd!!!

Morning Elland. I'd rate Kenny on a par with Lonners & both ahead of Schmeichel. However, Jamie Ashdown looks like our long term 'keeper.

Potentially good news on Austin. Let's hope so anyway. If not, one or two others will have to step up to the plate.

For Sunday against the 'Wall, I really hope that Hall starts on the right with White on the left. I'd have Pugh at LB with instruction to concentrate on defence whilst playing White in as often as possible. I'd also be telling White to get to the corner & put crosses ither in the 6 yard box or on the penalty spot.

I'd hang on to Becchio to pi** him off prior to unleashing him in the 2nd half. I'd also play Diouf in CM so that he can try to run the show from midfield. Give him as free a role as possible. Not sure who we've got as a DM if Brown isn't fit. Where would we fit Tonge into all of this?

Something tells me that this weekend, we either fight or fly. The former would begiin the march up the table. The latter would see us in a relegation dog fight, a Warnock sacking sometime or other, & us just staying up. I'll go for the backs to the wall, man up & fight approach. 2-1 Leeds in a good game.

Morning all.

Kenney is in front of Schmeichal and Lonners for me, but the big Dane was one for the future, and doing ok for the foxes.

God knows what will happen at the wall this weekend, because It will be either another disaster or a fighting win/draw. We seem to have a spark missing in the squad and I don't know if its Warnock or all the turmoil surrounding the T/O stuff. It seems everything has been on and off for months now and we hear about counter bids ready to come in if GFH don't sign fast. Our club under Bates has turned into a laughing stock and the T/O a soap opera. Our finances are screwed because the club has been milked and now we're mortgaged up to the hilt and that should never have happened as we make enough cash to run things without resorting to loans. Its almost as if Bates decided to cash in as fast as possible this year, but load the club with debt instead of using club funds to do his stupid refurb work. Jesus if GFH don't complete and we finish up with the yanks as investors, Bates will still be around. There should be more the FL can do with owners like Bates because he's crippling the club, the fans and our reputation

No change and I'm afraid we could be back in L1 again

It's interesting how many times I've seen Leeds referred to as our club under Bates, GFH or American investor. Also the point that whoever comes in will buy back Thorpe Arch and Elland Road for us. Lets get real here, this is the root of our problem. It's not our club, stadium or training facility any more and never will be. Bates at the moment owns them most likely and can therefore do whatever he wants as he has proven. Regardless of who buys Leeds, if anyone, situation wont change. Different crew pulling the strings, supporters having no say.Just have to hope sometime, some of them will have the ambition and resources to make a proper promotion push.
Think Kenny is the best of the three goalkeepers named but difficult to assess given the defences they've all been part of.
Cant understand how Jamaica seem to know more about Rudis injury or are they just guessing?

United midfielder Rudy Austin has sustained a cracked ankle bone following Saturday's 6-1 defeat at the hands of Watford.
The Jamaican international sustained the injury following a clash with a Watford defender shortly after half-time and he was stretchered from the field.
Heavy bruising around the ankle prevented an immediate diagnosis of the injury, but following further scans on Monday evening it was confirmed as a cracked bone at the front of his ankle.
The diagnosis is better than was initially feared, United manager Neil Warnock had expressed concerns that the player had suffered a suspected double fracture.
"It's better news that we first thought," said the boss. "The swelling made it difficult for us to get a full diagnosis until Monday evening. We wish him well in his recovery and hopefully he will be back with us sooner rather than later."

Eire <ok> In some respects I can understand the FL not been able to crack down on owners like Bates. Even David Conne can't lay a glove on him and he'd been looking for buried bodies for years. You look at the commons select committee yesterday slagging off Google, Starbucks and Amazon and asking why they make millions in this country, yet post a loss? just because they move their profits offshore into different jurisdictions and tax havens. They couldn't lay a glove on them as the tax system allows them to do it, so no way will Bates ever feel embarrassed about doing what he's doing, he'll just piss himself.

If others are getting away with tax dodges, then why shouldn't Bates. If anyone of us could find a way do legally dodge paying tax, wouldn't we???

Elland I'm not disagreeing on that front, but I do have a problem with how Bates does it. Bates takes our money out of the business instead of investing the money that we give him in the team. He has taken money under false pretenses as he told us 8-years ago that if we wanted prem football we would have to pay prem prices. Many of us are sick of his lies and have watched him milk the club and also sell any player who's worth a few bob. The team over the last 2-seasons has been worse than the one we had in league 1. its our money he's taking and then borrowing money for his pet projects that leaves us in debt

Kenny
Byram Pelts Lees Dury
Hall Tonge Norris White
Diouf Varney/Becchio

That should be enough to derail the 'millwall express' <laugh>

Morning all <ok> I'm actually in the office today which is depressing enough, but looking at my LUFC calender novembers picture is Olearys boys clapping the fans in Milan.

12 years on, we are worried about a trip to Millwall. Dont know if I should laugh or cry! And thats no disrespect to the Wallies. <cheers>

Leeds United midfielder Michael Tonge has admitted that his fellow players are growing tired of manager Neil Warnock’s hands-on approach.
Leeds were drubbed 6-1 by Watford last weekend and have dropped to 17th in the table, despite the best efforts of pugnacious tactician Warnock.
While the Sheffield-born boss’ infectious enthusiasm for the game has been key to his success at other clubs, it seems to be hindering his current players.
“There can be no doubting the gaffer’s [Neil Warnock’s] passion,” Leeds’ scorer Tonge told FourFourTwo in a post-match press conference.
“He’s quite literally kicking every ball out there. But that’s starting to slightly rile some of us more experienced players.

"It's alright, Luke, I've got this one!"

“Sometimes it’s great to see Neil hoof a dangerous ball clear, but against Watford a couple of inviting balls dropped for our strikers only to see the gaffer [Warnock] take too many touches, have his shot blocked or break down into a wheezing fit.”
Throughout his managerial career, Warnock has slowly edged towards the playing surface, but it’s only recently that he openly started chasing the ball and taking occasional wayward shots at goal while barking incomprehensible Yorkshire threats at opponents, teammates and officials alike.

“I have to admit it’s quite frustrating when we’ve got a well-placed free-kick and while we’re still discussing who should take it, the gaffer [Warnock] has stepped up and clipped a feeble, toe-poke into the wall,” Sam Byram explained.
“The odd thing is that in training he doesn’t get involved at all on the playing side. He prefers to sit in a deckchair and eat a full roast dinner with all the trimmings. If he shouts anything at all it’ll be to do with gravy.”

NEIL Warnock believes injury-hit Leeds United will travel to The Den to face Millwall on Sunday as underdogs.
Warnock says he expects to put out "half a team" for the televised clash with Rudolph Austin, Michael Brown and Jason Pearce all set to miss out.

Half a team!!! Our development team would beat the lions

The 13-year-old that has been banned by Millwall Football Club "for the foreseeable future" has admitted to verbally abusing Bolton Wanderers player Marvin Sordell. Facebook
Twitter

Despite saying that he has verbally abused Sordell, he maintains his innocence on the racial front. The statement that Millwall, the FA, and Bolton released following the incident said that the club offered to put the boy "through one of our education programmes, run by Millwall for All (formerly the Millwall Anti-Racism Trust) in the hope that we can change his outlook on equality, racism and life in general." This part of the statement led many to assume that the boy had in fact been found guilty of hurling racist insults at the young Bolton man.
As part of their bid to get closer their fanbase, Millwall have a fan-elected member on their Board of Directors. This fan/board member, Peter Garston, has come out on a Millwall forum to discuss the allegations brought against his club:

Bunch of hooligans!!!!!!

Getting totally fed up with Warnocks comments now, I wanted him in at the start, now he is boring me with excuses and as someone else pointed out, using a "my thoughts are with Austin and his double fracture" speech to avoid questions over a shocking defeat and a shocking tactical screw up by the manager.

Well done, just noticed after this post I am 7 away from my 4,000th post, I was going to say I might refrain from making a 4,00th post until we have some positive news but I fear I won't be back until next season if I promise that!!

Was about to congratulate you, then wondered WTF it all means anyway. Is it a measure of how sad we are, hanging over the keyboard so much? If so, can I start giving points away so I can look a bit cooler?
