Good Morning All, and a special warm welcome for the first time to the Saints fans !!!! What a division !!!! Birmingham lose at lesta, Reading climb into the automatics, and with a difficult game on Saturday against the Mighty Whites, what is going to happen to wet sham???? Elsewhere hull (with with chips on there shoulders than McCain) demolish Cardiff..... Anyone can beat anyone!!!! Saints fans, is the division now yours, are wh going up in the automatics? Saints and Leeds fans that saw the match at ER, did you get the impression that ER was becoming a fortress again??? Leeds fans, if you could pick any Saints player for our squad, who would it be???? Song of the day is Paint it black by the Rolling Stone http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Egt1Hq4wpE
Elland Road has always been a fortress hasn't it ? On matchdays it's one of the most intimidating atmospheres in Europe, regardless of how well Leeds are doing at the time.
I was really impressed with the way Leeds played against us and hope that things are on the up. Warnock is a great manager despite not being that popular with others although I like the bloke. It would be great if you made the play offs and went up that way. Personally I do not like Big Sam's football tactics and hated his bolton side. He has destroued West Ham's reputation as a footballing side and they have now become a bit of a joke. For me, being one of the Saint's greatest fans and a Berkshire boy to boot, I want Saints and Reading to go up automatically and hope you go up through the play offs. Good luck for this weekend I shall be looking out for your result as eagerly as I will the Saint's.
Just tell your defenders to put their hard heads on.......because they are going to do a lot of heading. You play as you did against us and you will walk the floor with Wet Sam. As for is the title ours...Nah mate there is a lot of work to be put in by our guys yet. Although teams like yourself can help our cause immensely...... I don't think anyone will deny it is going to be a close run thing. One thing is for sure though...who ever wins the bloody league this year will have earned it that is for sure. Best league in the world......well maybe not but it has got to be one of the most exciting though!!
Best league in the world......well maybe not but it has got to be one of the most exciting though!! Its the best league in the world for that very reason as its the most competitive league in the league as it was last season and is even more stronger this season for the teams that have come up into it like yourselves and for the teams that came down into it as well
To be honest, its about as long as we go up for me. I am not thinking about any other club. I keep looking at everyone's fixtures because its so tight in the play off positions, anyone can beat anyone. I agree with Godders on the Warnock appointment, he will be the best bit of business Bates has done for many a year and i expect to see you in the Prem next season.
There were mixed reactions. I was unsure as I didn't know much about him before he arrived, obviously I knew about his success at S****horpe but he really wasn't a household name at the time. I think I speak for a lot of fans when I say we were still disgruntled at the sacking of Alan Pardew, so with a new manager, we were probably a little synical at the time. However it didn't take long for him to win us over !
Interesting you should say that, do people still believe ER is a fortress and intimidating to come to???
I still believe, when i've been to Elland Road, the place is like a cauldron. I'm not brown nosing, but the Leeds fans are some of the most passionate I have ever seen.
Thanks fella You;re not much of a WH fan then....I used to think that WH were many people's second team. Mighty, TC, Millwall Steve all have a soft spot for them...
The last time i was at Elland road was the League Cup semi final first leg in 1979 and it was very intimidating on the terraces and the seats so i would have thought the players would have on the pitch but the 2-2 probably said No not at all, it was just like playing in the park.
Morning Steve. I'm a bit hurt, you would'nt want us in the Prem next season. We could visit you in league 1
