Good Morning and welcome to takeover day (surely) Regarding to the post I sent yesterday, relating to NOT606 activity, lets make a big effort to introduce newbies to this board especially from facebook and twitter. It is good to see that members of a certain sarf London club have jumped ship and joined us in our pledge to the Prem, so a big shout out to our new members Mighty White, TCLeeds and StevelovesLeeds.. A 5-2 victory over Farsley on Friday highlighted our lack of strength in depth. Our reserve side came out in the second half being 3-0 up, by which time Farsley had not had a shot on target. They scored twice from three efforts on goal in the second half, thoughts? On this day in 2008, Leeds gave a trial to little known Argentinian Luciano Becchio. THAT, was a good bit of business. Lets hope that Warnock can find a few more like that from trialists. Could today be the day?
Morning Elland I don't look at the second half of the Farsley game in such a bad light. It was a good runout for the kids and they consolidated it with a great win over Alfreton. The future's bright. With the addition of Snodgrass, Austin, Becchio, Somma and a couple of shrewd loan signings - ie, unlike our recent ones - we have one hell of a squad
Does anyone have anyone they think would be good on loan. I know most people look at the loan market in a bad light but it can work really well if you use it properly I'd like us to loan Jonjo Shelvey, think it'll be the last season he is loaned out before either making it or breaking it at liverpool. Apparantly Chelsea are open to loaning out Lukaku to the championship, but thats only according to the Ipswich fans which might be bullshit. He'd be a good loan signing though
Morning Josh, we tried to get Hutton on loan from Villa, but Villa want to sell him. He would have been good. Lets hope whoever it is, WANTS to play for us, unlike that twat Townsend
I've never heard of anyone 'doing a townsend ' before. That was totally disrespectful to the club and I hope he goes nowhere in his career. He wasn't even that impressive that is was an issue, I actually think he was quite average but its still a bad move for a professional to be seen in that sort of light
Morning all. Just catching up having survived the Alelympics at the weekend. Glad to see White's re-signed. May be that'll persuade Snoddy & others to re-sign as well. Will we get Austin as well this week.... & u no what will finally happen.
Morning all - Guess until the T/O is complete it will be hard to comment on loan signings. We need to see who the 8 players are that Warnock said he wants to bring in before the opening game. I would like to see a keeper on loan, I am not sure our youngster is ready just yet.
Norwegian side SK Brann have confirmed an offer from Leeds United has been accepted for Jamaica international Rodolph Austin. We'll bring you mroe shortly.
Here's more on the news Leeds have agreed a fee for Jamaica international Rodolph Austin, who is set to travel to England to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical. Brann wanted to keep the midfielder for as long as possible, but accept Austin is keen to join Leeds
Cosmic, this is looking promising then. Just to get through the personal terms then Do you know how much the fee was?
http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/156300-Rodolph-Austin?p=3180238&viewfull=1#post3180238 10.30pm last night a fee was agreed, travelling today to agree terms
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11715/7928072/Leeds-agree-Austin-fee Let's just hope neither Bates nor Harvey scupper this deal, nor that a third party club nicks him from under our nose like we did to Wednesday with Cantona.
Well in the interview Brann seem to say that leeds' valuation of Austin was far off what Brann's was after the initial bid which most people seem to think was 200k. But 300k-400k does seem around right
Seems as though everything is coming together nicely. All we need now is Snoddy & co. to re-sign & u no what to happen soon..... just in time to watch the olympics opening ceremony in the pouring rain on Friday.
Season long loan: Danny Wilson from Liverpool. He's a centre back and can also play left back. He's 20 and already has 5 caps for Scotland. Very talented player with a great future. Spent the end of last season on loan at Blackpool.
