Here's wishing City Old Boys, aka Cardiff, the best of luck in their promo push tonight. It will be good to see Malky leading a team in the Premiership and to welcome him back to CR next year - assuming we're still in the EPL <yikes>

What with Malky, Marshall, Lapps, Bellars and now Barny there it will almost be like another Canaries celebration when they go up.

Good luck Malky - top man you are !

Great man, really enjoyed his time with us.

Pity that he was ditched so quick by Worthy.

To think we were playing Fleming and Charlton at CB:steam:

good luck malky, they will do it for sure
(hopefully) a ground for us to visit next season in the prem

it'll be interesting to see of those ex-players who stays for next season. Barnett might join permanently as he's played every game since his loan stint.

I've seen talk from Cardiff fans who are very keen on Barney, as we were when he played for us in the championship, in fact i saw some who were worried his performances were so good we wouldn't want to sell him. To be honest I would be willing to let him go i feel we know about his game and its not good enough for this league.

I think that is a bit unfair. After the Fullham debacle he came into the team and I remember thinking, 'Jesus, what has Hughton done to make Barnett look like a capable defender?!?' but I agree we will let him go, if he was part of Hughton's long term plans then he wouldn't be out on loan. Best of luck to him, Malky and the King of Spain against Charlton and in the league next season, except when they play us of course. It would be magical to see the King of Spain at Carrow Road another time.

I really don't rate him in the Prem, he is genuinely good in the air which is pretty much his entire game but not accurate enough with it so useless going up for corners.

I'm intrigued by the affection that individual players engender, I couldn't care less about any of them, just how NCFC perform, They may be lovely people, but they just did a job and would do the same job anywhere else, as proved by their performances at Cardiff. I realise I may be the odd one out in not having a wee bit of hero worship for players

Our central defence is probably the best now it has been for some years with Bassong, Turner and Bennett as cover. Barnett not up to it for me. harsh but true I am afraid, like Martin (Chris) and Simeon.

I think when Barnett has played well, it's been alongside Bassong, who I think brings an awful lot to our central defence. A Barnett-Turner or Turner-Bennett partnership would worry me a lot more, despite the first 2 playing well alongside Bassong. For that reason, I can see Barnett going and a new CB coming in to really push Bassong and Turner, rather than providing cover as Bennett does.

I like Barnett, I'd only advocate getting rid of him if we are going to sign someone better than those presently in the defensive squad. I think he potentially offers more than Turner because deep down he's a more rounded player.

Hopefully this is fourth time lucky for Malky and he actually gets to see the Premiership.

He's already been ditched by us, West Ham and Watford after helping them get promoted.

I thought he finally played in the prem with Watford because he stayed with them as a coach and then manager.

Unsurprisingly, Malky said in an interview he is most looking forward to 'hopefully' returning to FCR next season.

Good guy, good footballer, genuine best wishes Malky you deserve it!
On the Barnett issue, what he lacked in skill he more than made up for in commitment and effort, I was hoping he would stay.
