both english oaks winners line up for a japanese gp1 over 1m3f in the early hours tomorrow.

snow fairy won this with such ease last year that it difficult to see her not do it again.only wide draw of 18 from 18 is a slight negative as such although winning draw positions of recent years have come from 6 to 16 so inside looks more of a negative.

dancing rain goes from 14 also.she as won me some money this season but i get the feeling that if this was a english race she wouldnt be running as she as lost a considerable amount of weight for the trip and hasnt trained recently due to heat in her legs.they have gone all that way so thats probably influenced there decision to run her.they were also concerned about the ground which is very firm, which also snow fairy loves.

she as won 4 from 4 when she as led but lost the other 3 times when not.might be difficult for her to lead from a wide draw but a japanese poster on another site reckons she wont have no problem to lead but there was a fairy quick japanese front runner that went of fast in this last year.its the journey and the heat in her leg which as stopped her from training that as to be the real concern and now today with haggis also making a statement about the firm going.

snow fairy herself as had some kind of bug bite her but thats been treated and cured and is exactly the same racing weight she as been when racing in europe this season.

snow fairy is 7-4 i think and dancing rain 11/2

of the Japanese horse apapane who is rated quite highly is out of form , Italian red who looks progressive and won a trial ,also aventura as well look the main threat of the home team, although both have inside draws.

Good luck to Snow Fairy. From what you say GP Dancing Rain should not be running and I'll have my fingers crossed. If anything goes wrong with her that will be another trainer I will have gone off.

I don't believe William Haggis would run a horse, who is as unfit as reports are suggesting. Even if they have travelled along way, there's no point in running a horse, who is going to finish tailed off. So I would personallly say alot is being made of it, and it would be very naive to rule her out.

Snow Fairy will be the one to beat, Japanese racing isnt great, and shes performed well in finishing 3rd in both the Arc and Champion Stakes, and brings by far the best form to the table. She's also won out there before, it's just the draw that's worrying, let's hope it doesn't affect her to much

Well done Snow Fairy and to think that she had to be bought back at the yearling sales for 1800 euros!
