Looking very good for them and a return to 'Superleague' With Hull having won silverware also in the COC, it's only our own club which has not risen to the occasion in 2017. Both well run clubs unlike our own which continues to stink the city out in this regard. While Ehab Allam will be smirking at how much money he has managed to milk from our club this year, his policy of making us a test lab for loaned PL youngsters is no medium or long term strategy for further milking, as we don't actually own any of them. The people responsible for finding and developing the talent are no longer here, ironically because Ehab did not have faith in their abilities. Contrast that with Adam Pearson backing Lee Radford. Let's hope we see Adam back at City sooner rather than later, and maybe we have a chance to halt the steady decline we've had under Ehab Allam.
Yes I will go along with you on this. It'll be good to get the local Derby back so we can see a decent crowd in the KC COM.
Yeah, even though I work with a HKR supporting Manchester United fan who constantly snipes at City, good luck Rovers.
Agreed, good luck. It would be good for the city and for their fans to return to the top flight. Not looking forward to the derby's though, they got boring in recent times after the same fixture was getting played 4-5 times a season.
Totally agree with the last part. Although easy to scoff at RL crowds, didn't the first derby at the KC after Rovers' promotion attract 23,000? Since then the familiarity of playing each other at least 3 if not 4 times a season (& usually with all of them televised as well) was reflected in a decline in the attendance at both grounds. The fact that the RFL need the Hull Derby to sell Magic Weekend was also unfair on both sides. Also, the OP was right. Both rugby clubs currently have a relationship with their fans that we can only dream about.
A bit unfair really We played in the Premier League in 2017 we just rose to the occasion earlier that's all so at least we were there when the year started
Reminds me of the bloke who was so fat he booked 2 seats on the plane. He got them, either side of the aisle. The old 'uns are not always the best...
Wouldn't happen these days, he would book one seat and then sue the airline because it was too small.
Aren't the FC fans more obese than HKR's or is it the well documented phenomenon of horizontal stripes making people look fat, or even fatter still in the case of FC fans?
Unfortunately not Dennis. We were a basket case/ freak show who were nailed on for relegation long before the season started. Ignominious year for our club.
The usual from stewey then. The reality being FC have lost supporters year on year since madam took over. Awkward...
Was interested to see what the crowds actually were for these games and they are not too shabby - maybe 16,000 for a friendly, but not that low for a league game: 2007 - 23,002 2008 - 21,283 2009 - 22,337 2010 - 20,079 2011 - 19,754 2012 - 18,979 2013 - 19,064 2014 - 18,104 2015 - 20,507 2016 - 17,481 As someone mentioned above, it does seem that since they started playing each other 4 times a year (Friendly, Magic Weekend and then the league games) it becomes less of an occasion and has affected the numbers
You can see from those numbers that they haven't. albeit very close a couple of times. However, 20,000 rugby fans from Hull, compared to 15-16k City fans (last season when you take out the Away supporters) suggests that it is a popular sport does it not?
Probably best to keep this as a good luck Hull KR thread, we've just had a 50 page thread for you to vent your hatred of Hull FC, nothing you're saying here hasn't already been said before, its boring and derailing the original thread for no good reason.
