Sussex were the last team to do the double, CC1 and the List A final. Mind you, we were the last team to win the 40 over and the T20 in the same season, so we've lost a record either way. I still would like Hampshire to do it though. So jolly good luck Hampshire fans and enjoy the day.
If we can do it, we'll stop Warwickshire doing the cricket equivalent of the Double. Also it would be like a Championship side wining the FA Cup (ok that's a slight exaggeration, but Hants are in the Second Division of the County Championship)
I stated on CMS, that this final was a poor replacement for the old Gillette/Natwest/C&G trophy. Lords is nowhere near full, the atmosphere is muted. Anyone who was a cricket fan, before T20 came along, will know what I mean.
50 for Adams. Going along at over 5.5/over. 7 wickets in hand with 16 overs left. Should post a competitive score
150 up in the 29th over. The run rate has dropped, but still 7 wickets in hand for [hopefully] some carnage at the end of the innings.
Best thread today pm Brilliant finish to a final, the game kept swinging both ways right up to the final ball. T20 and CB 40 Champions Well done Hampshire
Indeed - how tense was that last over - and after today both ends of the M27 needed something to cheer.
It was brilliantly bowled by Ali. I thought the game was up when Warks only needed 7 from the last over.
