After all the bollox that has gone on over the last few weeks I thought it was about time someone from the Swans board redressed the balance and came on here to wish you well for the coming season! Those of you who are regulars know that I am genuine, to those who aren't I can understand why you might be suspicious. But I would genuinely like to wish you luck in all your games this season (apart from two ) and hope that you, and us, finish still a part of the Premier League so we can do it all again next season. To my fellow Jacks I would urge you to show some restraint and stay away from here, for a while at least, unless you are genuinely wishing well or raising a valid point. I remember our first season well, how excited I was, and how I couldn't wait to get back from a game and read reports, post on forums etc. I also remember many Bluebirds wishing us well and complimenting us during the season so I am appealing to all to let the Cardiff posters similarly enjoy themselves for a while before the wind ups start. I would also hope that some of the old posters are encouraged to come back - we have both lost valuable posters because the minority don't know where banter stops and bad feeling begins, so let's just think before we type! I know that there is blame on both sides but, lately, there have been very few threads on our board derailed, or started, by Cardiff supporters - unfortunately I have found the opposite to be true when visiting the Cardiff board. I know the usual suspects just feel it is a 'bit of fun', but let's just let them enjoy what will be an historic period in their (continuing) history. And before I am asked why I am not posting this on the Swans board as well - it's obvious it will be seen over here by those it is directed at! This doesn't mean I don't love you anymore my fellow Swans (even Dai!) It just means that I don't hate the Cardiff posters either, in fact get on very well with most of them - so let's just live and let live for a little while at least! We are on the brink of the greatest season in the history of Welsh football and feel that the teams at both Welsh ends of the M4 deserve to enjoy it for a little before hostilities recommence! So good luck Swans and good luck to our Cardiff cousins!
Cheers Cartoon, good luck for the season, plus I really think you can get something out of your game tomorrow.
Cheers Taff - I think it is possible to catch them cold, then I think it's Man Utd, even when you catch them cold they can still beat you! Think it's the best time to play them though - good luck at West Ham!
Well the roller coaster that is the PL is about to start. I hope you enjoy the trip and all the ups and downs and who knows where we will both finish next May Good luck
Cheers SCH, A jack with a balanced view whatever next David Moyes being gracious in defeat on Saturday (or according to dai on sunday). Think both sides will do Wales proud and hopefully we can show how passionate our derby is without the stupidity that used to go with it.
Cartoon head, a gentleman as always with a balanced view. Your good wishes are appreciated and I hope that at the end of the season we are discussing two successful campaigns (and success is relative) and looking forward to the 14/15 derbys.
Think everyone is hoping for passionate and trouble free derbies Eldon! Think we will have to wait a bit before Moyes is gracious in defeat though - as we speak he is probably in front of the bathroom mirror practicing his Fergie impression!
Moyes started well last week whinging about the fixture list !!! Cant wait to hear some of his excuses he was bad enough at Everton
I read about that Eldon - insinuated that the draw wasn't random! Think we have a Fergie mini-me in the making!
All joking aside, good luck tomorrow and safe journey to anyone going. Nowhere around close by to have a pint really but they do serve you in the ground. The burgers inside are horrible but there's always a nice one down the road by the program sellers, fried right in front of you
Good luck and I hope you enjoy the season and put to bed the old image of Cardiff fans from the last century.
Dilli, nice to see the grounds you have been to but didn't add anything to the thread so I have deleted them. All, Please folks, let's keep the good wishes to the fore.
Just answering a question and it was football related Taff. Wanted your lot to be aware that some places you will go to this season have some right funny buggers working there. Tottenham being a prime example
