I have called for there to be a change of manager for a few months now and I can't say that i'm not pleased with the news for the sake of the club and fans, but Mauricio has never ducked tough questions and handled himself with dignity in his time here and I just feel that he lacked the experience for the job. buena suerte Mauricio in your future endeavours. Feel free to add yours if you wish (i'm not expecting many tbh)
As a human being he’s obviously a nice guy, very warm and intelligent. He may well get better at managing a football team but I don’t think we’ll be seeing a similar outcome to that of Puel, at least not immediately. ¡Hasta luego Mauricio, buena suerte!
Delighted with the news but it still doesn't feel quite right celebrating someone losing their job. However he was completely out of his depth and it now gives us a significant increase of survival.
Nothing against him, but I'm struggling to wish him well after the complete balls up he's made of this season. Nice bloke, but an abysmal manager who stubbornly kept to his methods despite them failing badly.
I would never call for anyone to be sacked but this is no doubt best for him and us. Seemed a good decent bloke but unfortunately not the manager for this team. Good luck to him in the future, I'm sure a Spanish team will soon be interested.
Nice bloke, I really did like him and conducted himself incredibly well ... just a shame the results didn't work out.
I think its all been said now but a thoroughly nice guy who knew exactly what he wanted to achieve but despite having the support of the players never really got the ideas executed well enough. Let's hope that's the end of the blame game. Clean sheet for the player and the club. Blue line. Move on.
Totally agree - nice guy but obviously out of his depth. Good luck to him in the future. Sorry, there won't be a card though...
And I wouldn't sign a card for him. That is not to say I don't think he was handed a poisoned chalice, and I do feel some sympathy for him. I'm sure he's gone with a decent redundancy package, so that tempers how I feel too. I only hope is legacy is not the relegation of the clu I love.
