Or so it seems, Sky Sports News

Darren Bent admits to being star-struck by the calibre of personnel in Aston Villa's dressing room.

The England international joined Villa from Sunderland during the January transfer window in an £18million deal.

He has played with a number of big names for club and country down the years, but was impressed by what Villa have to offer.

With Gerard Houllier in the hot-seat and World Cup winner Robert Pires among the playing staff, Bent is convinced he made the right decision in joining the Midlands club.

He feels he can only benefit from working alongside such distinguished figures, with French tactician Houllier having made an immediate impression on his game.

    Incredible
"I've been lucky to play under some great managers but to play for Gerard Houllier, with everything he has achieved, is incredible," Bent said in The Sun.

"He is a lot more technical than other bosses and knows the game really, really well.

"When I first walked into the changing room and I met Pires I was a bit star-struck to be honest.

He's getting embarrassing, I think it would be best all round if he never spoke to the media again.

You wouldn't think he's talking about a team four points off relegation.
A team below Blackpool and even NewcARSEtle.

Not only is he embarrassing he is a tool. We were all warned by Spurs fans and they were 100% right Bent is 2 face back stabbing twat.

All that Sunderland did for him from the owner down to the fans.

We only need players that 100% want to play for us don`t care who it is if he is not 100% comitted than let him go, players like Bent will only end up causing trouble in the dressing room.

NO PLAYER IS BIGGER THAN OUR CLUB

We might as well pop over to the newcastle boards and tell them to stop talking about Carroll. <doh>

Bent is a complete **** and no mistake. I'm not one for slagging off players who have done well for us as a rule, but his "football reasons" amount to a fart in a thunderstorm as far as I'm concerned. Villa are a great club, but he's going on like he signed for Real Madrid instead of a team on the edge of the relegation zone. I can more understand Carroll going to Liverpool than Bent to Villa. ****er...
