from the BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18187779#asset He basically says that Barton doesn't deserve twelve but 8 and that the statement given by the FA puts them up for a lot of criticism because they're essentially saying that some matches are more important than others and his ban was longer because it was an important match.
Thing is though.....I don't care if he should only have got a 1 match ban!! The fact that it's 12 is good news as we don't have to put up with him on the pitch for nearly a third of the season! I fear the club will have to bite the bullet and put up with him as it will cost too much to get rid!! Just shows what a stupid contract he was offered!! I fear he will continue to be a negative influence around the place which can't be good! We need him gone!!!!
