http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/clubfootball/news/newsid=1642513.html?cid=rssfeed&att= Particularly interesting that European teams have inquired. Doesn't surprise me, I think the fact that he's Brazilian would making him a more alluring prospect to continental teams. Thoughts?
He's a good lad. Underrated and undervalued by a large section of Saints fans. I think he could be a revelation for us this season. Good article, good find. Not sure about his "English grounds always full" though.
I'm just glad he's so positive. Shows he knows the Guly-haters are in the minority and that most fans appreciate all he does. He needs to be allowed to find an ideal position and play there as he's been moved around more than most players. I'd play him central behind the strikers. He's hard-working and skilful and will do well in the PL (depending on formation NA goes for).
Good to see my good friend praising English support - compared to some countries, actually, most countries - we are superb.
Maybe a slight overreation but english grounds usually have good attendances even in lower leagues...the amount of support that is generated in England is truly amazing,no where else in the world do you get such support from the top league (Premier League) right down to league 2/conference...I think that's what he meant. Yeah,I read the article before I came on here I was gonna post a thread about it but I guess you've beaten me to it. From what I've seen of Guly,I think he is a class player who is underrated. Some people don't understand football.
hoping he plays as the attacking midfielder with spidey in the holding role. he should do well this coming season
I am touched by your concern but must reasure you all that I am quite well and smiling all over my face as at last someone agrees with me regarding just how good Guly is. As for not posting for a while I have to confess I have been in enemy territory. I had to go to Gosport right down by the Ferry but I am safely back now and I have come to no harm whatsoever. That is three times in a fortnight I have been down that way, to and from the Ferry Terminal for my holiday and now for a little spot of business. The bloke I went to see was every bit as friendly and pleasant as Pompeymeowth and DevonFrattoniser, a very nice man. I am getting to quite like these Pompey chaps a little bit. Perhaps my prejudices need to be restored by a quick visit to the Portsmouth News Pompey Pages website!
Great read from FIFA. I never realised he lost two years of his career to a knee injury. Glad he didn't let the few boo boys affect him.
Glad to see he's not affected by the minority at SMS who treat him as a scapegoat. I did enjoy the individual's response to the article at the bottom about his work ethic. He has many positive traits, though consistently, a good work rate is not one of them!
