Good game, shame about the ending, and Nohlman has probably lost another 10 quid. A bad tackle by Evans got a red card so fair enough. Even game to be honest, both teams creating chances. The goal was a mistake, showed the quality at the back for Bolton as you attacked alot and we held you off which is good for us. The performance from Man Utd was not the performance of champions, however you managed to score when it didn't look like you would score after losing a defender so I think Man Utd will win the league. Bolton have only kept one or two clean sheets so it wasn't expected against the likes of Rooney. I would also like to point out how the Liverpool fans will go 'Evans' tackle was terrible, he crippled Holden debatably worse than Carragher's on Nani.' Carragher didn't get sent off, so you should shut up and keep away. Good game and good luck for the rest of the season.
Cheers pal, and good luck to Bolton too. I've always kept an eye on your results having gone to Burnden a few times with my Bolton-supporting uncle in the 90s. It was a dogged performance by your lot, you seem to be able to play some decent football while still being tough physically. As for Evans, I don't think he went out to hurt Holden - the latter's studs were inches from connecting with the former's leg too. Both players went in hard, the Bolton lad just got unlucky and I wish him the best of luck in his recovery. I beleive nothing's broken?
No nothing is broken, I've been told he will miss the semi-final against Stoke though, I'm told is the key word. It was a bad tackle but not intentional, unlike Carragher's. I agree with the Utd fans when they say that the ref needs to be more consistent when making tough decisions. It can kill the game and is unfair for the team being robbed off a goal/red card. And anyway, who wouldn't support Bolton?
I really hope you beat Stoke, and if we don't make it through (if we lose on penalties against City - I can't see them actually attacking us), I hope you win the Cup. It would be fitting with Sir Nat dying. But obviously, if we play you at Wembley, I hope we hammer you!
