Good cup run or Europa league qualification?

    If you had a choice of going on a good cup run, and reaching the final of the FA cup, or seeing European football back at SJP, which would you choose?

    Not necessarily winning any silver though.

    Europe every time.

    A good cup run is useless if you dont win it, in fact it's hugely detrimental to your season. Europe attracts players and further increases international reputation, shows clear progress in the league to finish top 7, and brings European football back to St James.

    Europe for definite would attract a much better calibre of player and I'm pretty certain theres more money to be had in it, which is always good for the club.

    If I had to choose between the two, Europe. Would love having the foreign teams back at SJP, used to go to a lot of the UEFA cup games with my Uncle and loved them.
    But as 5 goals said, FA Cup final would most likely lead to both anyway :)

    Cup run, yes it would be nice to get into Europe, but its not as good as it was when we were there.

    europa league is viewed as a 2 bit competition nowadays, give me the FA Cup everytime

    I was choosing under the assumption we dont win the FA Cup, or qualify for Europe by getting to the final, if that was the case I'd choose that of course ;)

    Only want a cup run if it comes with a win, and entry to Europe. Otherwise just Europe. Making the last few stages of a cup isn't worth as much to the club as a top 5-7 finish.

    Next season? Win the CC/FA Cup, then get into Europe that way ;D

    Out of the two though...errm... Europe most likely, if the rules of this game state we don't win the FA cup, just get to the final, then I'd choose Europe yes.
