A very poignant post from Harps55 about Russell Moore's funeral. http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footba...forum/96414/good-bye-russell-moore-r.i.p./#12
****, that has moved me to tears. I knew 'Big Russ' for many years and never realised his situation, I actually saw him a while back in the paddock one game and enjoyed chatting about old times. The lad could of used any spare I sometimes have and it's a crying shame I didn't know. RIP mate....You'll never be forgotten.
An awfully sad story there, it must have been heartbreaking for Russell to be in such a position but too proud to confide. I know there are so many great supporters who would've been happy to help him out if they'd known. I'm getting to hear of so many who are passing away in their 40s and 50s which, as one poster mentioned, is no age at all. RIP Russell...
So sad, never knew him.....but now remember him sitting there. So sad I wish we had known....between us I am sure a ticket would have been got... RIP Russell
Thats terrible. Firstly RIP to a fixture at HQ. Secondly, I used to get given free tickets nearly every week and used to just pass them on to others when i was playing for no fee. Such a waste and Im sure there must be others who could do with a hand every now & again. Astounded to hear that he travelled alll that distance to soak up the atmosphere...a TRUE QPR fan
