Good article about Islam Feruz. http://www.sabotagetimes.com/footba...omalian-wonderkid-set-to-break-celtic-hearts/
It's a sign of the times. There's very little loyalty in football, from the manager down. Managers talk about player's loyalty then leave when a better offer comes in. Players talk about being boyhood supporters of a club then leave when a bigger club comes calling. In this case it's a bit more than that given the history and what the club has done for the lad and his family but at 16 years old you can hardly blame him for having his head turned when the likes of Chelsea and Man City are offering you all sorts of wage increases, homes, cars etc. We've also taken advantage of loopholes. We took Ledley from Cardiff on a free when, if he'd signed for another English club, they would have got a fee for him.
He's just a boy it his life he has to do what he believes to be best. Despite what some people will have you believe he's doesn't owe Celtic a thing.
This He may or may not become a good player still. I think he mightregret going though. Game time will be harder to come by at Chelsea or man city than Celtic. But it's his life. He might never get the offer of £3k a week ever again for all we know
**** him... If he goes, for bigger wages then fair play to him. If he stays, and signs a pro-contract, then I'd love to see him play for the 1st team in teh near future to see if the hype is worth it.
