Love him to bits hate his inconsistency , he has so much potential , at this stage unfulfilled . Great at Cambridge gave away a soft goal against Oxford great again against Morecambe will the real Lynden Gooch turn up against Plymouth we can only hope . I hope he is learning his new role as I am sure he has the capability of becoming an accomplished left wing back and has so much to offer . Come on Goochie you can do it , string a number of good performances together and make this position your own . I am sure their is a lot of SAFC supporters like me who want GOOCHIE to do well , though I have been critical of him in the past it does not mean I do not want him to do well .
Good post mate. The main thing that boils my urine about him is actually something he has no hand in, but when the Stadium announcer says "Gooooooooch" when reading his name out, my eye twitches a tad
as i keep saying, i like what he brings to the pitch as defenders just never know what he will do next...he can go left or right, shoot and pass or try a dribble but he has that annoying habit of regularly choosing the wrong ball which ruins his previous good work. have to say though, in recent games he appears to be learning and is mixing his runs and his defensive work a lot better and his final ball has mainly been a good one...never been a fan of him in defence previously but he does appear to be taking a lot onboard now and improving and i have noted in games when he has had to go off we tend to lose some attacking threat.
Either back in training tomorrow or out for Christmas https://www.footballfancast.com/sunderland-afc-news/sunderland-dealt-big-injury-blow
Hope he is OK, we need him in the next few weeks, if he is out we might see Younger or Dyce get a game which could be interesting.
