Now i ask this on the basis of, i hear many saying "how good Meyler is"..

Iv'e just looked and did not realise he has been at SAFC for nearly 4 years..And in that 4 years he has made 22, yes only 22 first team appearances...now i am shocked at this, that people can judge after such a low number over them years and have such a high regard...

Then i looked as a few of the usual suspects at the club, and wonder will they make it, maybe physically or injuries or even just a lack of talent will stop them...

So here is a few for you to judge...

    Meyler................see above.

Campbell............38 games in nearly 3 years..

    Ji.............can he........

Wickham........way over-priced and seems un-favoured......yeah yeah, send him on loan...but is he good enough.

    Elmo.................i'll leave it at that..............

And lastly, i'm throwing him in, so you can all bitch at me...(but i think he has a good chance...but it's early days ) McClean....

    ......................................................

Take your own personell opinions out of it along with sentiments.....

In Meylers defence he's had two horrendous knee injuries which kept him out for about a year.

Fraizer can do a very good job, though I would prefer someone adead of him in the pecking order. Especially if we play with wingers crossing balls into the box.

Ji shuld come god. Takes a little time for Korean players to settle. Park Ji Sung wasnt all that when he first came over, and he ahd been playing in the neterlads for a while. Ji has come over from the K-league.

Wickham should go out on loan. His price tag will be effecting him much like Carrol at liverpool.

Elmo. well he was a punt wasnt he. If he goes I wont be upset, If he stays I wont be outraged. Can be useful. Under MoN anything can happen.

McClean looks very promising. My only worry is that he may be a one trick pony and once teams figure him out his efficacy will be gone. If this happens he's got impact sub written all over him.

We still have Riveros, Gyan and Angeleri coming back at some point, whether these can make it, who kows with MoN.

Meyler & Campbell i think can make it they have just had bad look with injuries both need games

Ji i think is championship level & will be gone in the summer

Whickham is only 18 and still has alot to learn loaning him out for a season will be the best option for him like Meyler & campbell he needs games

Elmo will be gone in the summer

McClean is a great talent an old fashioned winger he now needs to bring more to his game a plan B he is great flying down the left beating a player & crossing plus he chips in with a few goals but once defenders know his routine they will be ready for him he needs to cut inside abit change it up so defenders dont know which way he is going to go. It will be intersting to see what the coaches do with him for next season.

Meyler can make it - not sure how I can stop that from being my personal opinion though... The problem for Meyler is that he is need to compete with Catts and Colback for a starting spot, and MON is not going to drop either of them from the team just to see how good Meyler is. He will have to be patient and bide his time.

Campbell: Injuries sustained might still badly affect his career, next season is key for him

Elmo: got a very nice assist for Egypt last night. I want to see him play now he is being coached by MON before I judge.

Ji: Seen glimpses, have to see

Wickham: Can be anything from an expensive flop to a great buy.
