Rumour is we are closing in on a bosman deal for the Hearts centreback who is out of contract in the summer. The fact he can also operate as leftback is seen as a key reason for him being tracked by Celtic.

Impressed me when I've seen him play centreback for Hearts, strong, agile & quick. Got to be an improvment on Loovens!!! Would prefer a specialist leftback then a guy who can simply fill in there.

His signing could see the departure of McManus, so if we get £3m or so & replace McManus with a free transfer that extra cash can be spent improving other positions

 

Not a bad player but he's prone to the odd reckless challange, on a bosman fine but hopefully these another center half coming in as well as him cos Loovens is pish.

 

I think Mowbray will go back for St Ledger who will possibly cost the same as what we'd get rid of McManus, then Loovens will go for £1m or so to be replaced by Goncalves & we are £1m or so up with 2 better defenders
