I'd much rather see internationals (friendly AND competitive limited to very specific windows. One in summer and one in winter.

Summer essentially exists already when world cup is played, have that period blocked off for internationals each year maybe expand it a little have January blocked off for international games too... Friendlies and qualifiers.

No more stopping for internationals every 5 or 6 weeks. Get all out the way in two windows.

International managers have to be more careful with their team because injuries impact them... Not this grind them into the ground and if they get injured it's the club that has to deal with it, that goes on now. If Gomez gets injured on duty with England, it's England matches he is likely.to.miss

Plus, it gives time for managers to actually work with their team. Will lead to better international matches.

look... tough on the lad but its a life lesson to bin off england.

We have to check what the story is.

With taa and clyne fit then RB is covered.

We not have in effect 3 fit cbs to cover 2 games.

Its not like its the last straw here.

We cannot cope with a midfield injury really as neither option to come in is fully fit IMO

We cannot cope at all with a forward injury wihtout a radical formation change.

IF we lose a forward or midfielder i would advocate a 442 formation

    Karius
    Taa Lovren VVD Robertson
    Milner Henderson Windy mane
    Salah Firmino

We can do this right now and play two banks of 4 in the team.

If say windy fts chopped in half by a low flying paper airplane next weekend. what would we do?

Lallana right midfield? milner to centre?.. is he even fit enough?

Clyne to RB and TAAto RCM.. (was ****e last weekend)

    We can cobble something up.

On Internationals in Europe they really need to start reducing the size of the groups preferably by either stripping non countries from the list i.e. San Marino , Andorra , Gibraltar or at least have pre qualifying.

have to agree. there are 10/12 games and frankly at least 6 of them are so easy a b team would play better and win them.

Put countries in divisions based on FIFA rankings. Only the top half compete for places in World Cup or European Cup.

As you say, there really isn't much point in countries like San Marino, Andorra, or Scotland trying to qualify.
