Until the last couple of days I have not been able to get a clip of the $3,500,000 race for 2 years olds. Last Saturday the boom galloper Vancouver went into the race as a hot favourite. He drew the outside and sat no closer than 3 deep for the trip. When asked for the effort down the running, he took a while to find top gear, but did so in the last half furlong and went to the line full of running. His dam has thrown 10 foals, all of whom have won. He is the second of the mare's foals to win at G1 level. He's valued at $20,000,000. It's not the best bit of film. He's in the light colours and drawn the extreme outside.
SINGLE GAZE would be going in my notebook cyc. Stayed on well from a hopeless position turning in and only the fillys second outing and 100-1 to boot. Up to a mile next time I would say and if so should be worth a dabble. If you spot her running could you let me know. Cheers.
No worries mate. Just had a look Stick, she's been nominated for the G1 Sires Produce over 1400m in the 4th of next month. The owners of the filly must have huge wraps on her as they paid a late fee of $150,000 to get her into the Slipper.
