    It's official, winter is here a month early. From tomorrow, Barclay premier games will us a yellow ball "for greater visability as the winter weather draws in". Where did the League get this idea from? Will teams with yellow strips (Norwich obviously and loads of away outfits) be obliged to change colours?

    Sounds like a load of balls.

    And talking of Golden Balls, have you noticed that Fulham haven't assigned the No# 7 shirt? Could it be because a certain player needs to get some games in before the Olympics? And he wouldn't have to change his colours -

    But his branding is now centred around number 23, not 27, and I wouldn't swap him for our number 23.
