Ask Barton how much he wants, then tell him how much he his going to get and give him a 12 month contrast with a option of another 12 months if he does well! Then tell him to kick nine bells of crap out of all the foreign players that refused to come here!
3 things for me: 1) His passing and playing style is quite similar to that of Cambiasso, so i can see him fitting in nicely 2) He was very good in the year before they went down and can see him wanting to join 3) He is english - not overly important but always nice.
He is not a very good DM though - is much better higher up in the pitch. Would be an upgrade to Drinkwater and King so would have him in that regard.
