Juwon Oshaniwa has claimed talks are ongoing over a possible move to join Celtic. The Nigerian international, who is currently with the Super Eagles as they prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations, is contracted to Israeli side Ashdod. Celtic were credited with an interest earlier in the transfer window and Oshaniwa claims discussions over a transfer have taken place, only to be put on hold by his preparations for the tournament. "There are still ongoing talks on the move for me to go to Scotland," Oshaniwa told All Nigeria Soccer. "Once they are one, then everybody will have a clearer picture. "It is God that has the final say, but they are already talking with my club president. "It was because of my preparation with the Eagles that did not allow me to go to Scotland to do some of the things that I am required to do. "By God's grace everything will work out well." Left-back Oshaniwa, 22, only joined Celtic player Efe Ambrose's former club Ashdod in September 2012, signing a four-year contract. Both players are represented by the same agent, Dudu Dahan, who also recently brought Israeli defender Rami Gershon to the SPL side on loan, pending a work permit decision. Capped eight times by Nigeria, Oshaniwa had played his entire career in his homeland prior to his move to Israel. He has made 14 appearances to date for Ashdod. Celtic boss Neil Lennon was said to be delaying his trip to his team's winter training camp in Marbella to watch the player feature in a friendly with Cape Verde Islands in Portugal. It was not known whether the manager took in the game, in which Oshaniwa played the last eight minutes in a 0-0 draw.
There are very various Religions in Nigeria and most Nigerians have very strong beliefs . Even with their very strong personal beliefs these people and their Religions work very Closely together, often helping believers of other Religions help to attend or hold a Religious Ceremony. The love of their God, and their Religion and their co operation with other Religions, is not to be mocked but rather admired. Some of the Religions in Scotland Would make their Country a lot better place, if their members showed more respect to Members of other religions.
Yes, Nigeria is world renowned for the harmony in which their differing religions cooperate together in tolerance and respect for each other. Yes, it's just one big happy society. Scotland should use the Nigerian society as an example to teach it's people about tolerance and respect. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=n...s=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a
A few years ago Nigeria was being talked about splitting into two countries such is the antagonism between the Christians and the Muslims. Why do we need an LB anyway? Izzy, Mulgrew, Matthews, Gershon can all play there. That said, if he's good, it pads out the squad even more knowing Chuck, Matthews and Gershon don't have to play there - we'd have two out-and-out LBs.
I think one of them played LB once, possible Filip it probably was - he's primarily a midfielder. His brother is more of a winger.
Izzy's form has been erratic to say the least so I can see why Neil would want to bring in another natural LB. What's happening with Andre 3000? Is he still at the club?
Another square peg, round hole job obviously. Can't fault the other players the boy Dahan has brought to Celtic so far; Kayal & Ambrose. Can't say I've been too impressed with Izaguirre this season.
Oh aye, Butcher sent him back, didn't he? If we loaned him out and his attitude wasn't good enough for ICT, I'd imagine it isn't good enough for us. ...and you wouldn't want him training with the youth team if his attitude is honking. Christ knows. Probably playing granny in Barrowfield whilst everyone else is in Lennoxtown.
I forgot about him fouling Lennon Probably sent packing to the Highlands the next day.
