Was anything said afterwards about Carson's foul on Zamora after the penalty? I was very surprised that no other action was taken, because intentional or not, it was very reckless and could have put him put of the game.
Having looked at it again that goal we conceded was pretty ugly. At the time I thought we were slack letting them get the cross in so easily, but that its very difficult to defend those type of crosses. Looking at it at leisure Ned follows his player across but ends up marking nothing, Green sort of thinks about intercepting the cross, which was pretty close to him, and Clint lets his man get in front of him. But no matter, we won.... Penalty - again from the top of the Loft it looked like it could easily have been just outside the box, but I think it was fractionally inside from the video. How Zamora gets himself in a position to get kicked by Carson after Charlie scored is interesting. He, Carson and Clattenburg seemed to have a chat about it. Technically reckless play, but just a 'racing incident' as they would say in F1. The winner - didn't see this well at the time, just Zamora's looping ball and its a goal. Huge respect for Charlie to force his way on to that ball - by that time he was running on fumes, that was an effort of will. Where would we be without him?
The ball in for their goal was a peach of a cross - although there was a moment's ballwatching, and Clint spent a second appealing for offside when he should have been running, there was probably not that much we could do about it. Same could be said for our winner - not a lot that the defender was able to do.
