Gillingham's squad is pretty much finished , however hessenthaler and co are still looking for a goalkepper to challenge for the number 1 spot with fellow kepper Ross Flintley.. Here's a list of free agents who could be a decent challenge for the number 1 spot...

Personally, dean brill for me would be an ideal man to replace julian between the sticks but whats your verdict?

    Up the Gills!

Shane Higgs or Matt Duke would be a amazing signing but feel his wage demand's may put pay to that.

Maybe Nathan Abbey? He may be 32 and a bit of a journeyman but wage would be low. Also he would be very grateful to get back into the football league if only on a year deal as cover for flitney and to allow Hawkes to mature without the pressure of being the number 2.

I don't think Brill is that good. If he's been released by Oldham that says it all and I wasn't impressed with him when he was here a few years ago. Like Kentish Man said give Flitney a go and if he does get injured then it's something for Hess to think about. We don't need 3 keepers.

It could be good to sign a young Keeper, But only from the football league, not non league. around 20 year old or something.
