With our strong attacking line up was just curious to see where others see goals coming from and as its been quite quiet today thought I'd start yet another meaningless thread How many players do you think will score more than 10 league goals for us this season? For me think Stephens, Jackson, Wright-Phillips and Waggy will get 10 or more.
BWP, Jackson, Green and Benson (I do think he'll get a good run in the side) I don't know if Waggy will play enough to get many, and I think most of JJ's will be from pens!!
I think Stephens, BWP, Jackson (pens and being in the right place), and Benson will all get over 10 goals this season. Feel that Hayes will get close, as will Green, but they'll both be more valuable in our link up play and assists. Waggy's goal tally won't be as much as last season unless say Green gets injured. Fancy Euell to chip in with atleast 5 vital super sub goals. It's nice to look at the squad and see that we should have the ability to get goals from all across the park, the ability is definitely there. Does anyone feel we need another pacy striker, because our front line is looking very physical and target-man like apart from BWP...
Holland's 24 goals in 200 appearances isn't bad for what is essentially a defensive midfield player. Even though it's two divisions lower, Bradley Pritchard stuck 14 in last season. Paul Hayes is closing in on 100 career goals. Danny Green hit 13 last season. The side is full of goals, and that's why I made my prediction about scoring 20 more than last season - I'm confident we're going to do this. Slightly less confident about the other half of the goals prediction, but a clean sheet against Bournemouth was a good start.
i see BWP, waggy, green, benson, jj, stephens (key player this year), hayes (plus over 15 assists), all over 10 goals this season. Euell is going to get around 6 goals which is quite good but his experience is what is key for the us this year. hollands i cant see getting over 10 but not fur off, we will more goals in one season from him than semedo did all the time he has been here. I also see morision from corners getting some goals as well so not bad. The main problem we will have is not conceding lots of goals and i think that powell has a good mix. with hollands who is strong in tackles and can break up the play well and JJ (who some people complain that he doesnt take the left back on enough) will definitary cover wiggins well this year
In reply to needing another striker, I think we have it with waggy, at least as a super sub running at tired defenders. We know he can score goals but isn't that great on the wing. That's just my opinion anyway. Its great that we've gone from having a team that didn't look like scoring to one that could get a goal from anywhere on the pitch
