In July I posted a question to the club on Shrewschat suggesting the club could buy a set of portable goal nets to put up before kick off to protect us spectators in blocks 8 & 9 before someone gets seriously hurt .When we played Stoke last season in the cup they had some of these.I suggested maybe asking the Superblues to consider this when they make their donations to the club. I am pleased to say this has now been done and we can sit safe and sound pre-match and I can drink from my flask ! Well done to the club for listening and to the Superblues for making this possible. These are, according to reports portable and wil lbe removed before kick off. :smiley-finger007::emoticon-0148-yes:

Shooting should improve and I have the answer. Rather than protective nets, I suggest players are fined for every spectator they hit. That could be doubled if it causes a drink to be spilt.

i have always thought our firepower up front is great aqnd accurate enough for the away supporters to sit at least 2 rows back to prevent our grimsby fisheries finest netting causing any injuries

Upon reading this I had a vision ... A giant ducking stool behind the goal with Rowland sat on a seat with an expensive bottle of Llangollen 1642 vintage export Port in each hand and if any player shoots high or wide then it will cause a sinking and the wrath of Rowland upon the shooter.
