Thank heaven for it - no-one really appealed for a goal, but Kevin Friend's watch beeped indicating a goal scored. At first glance it appeared as if Ospina had slapped the ball out or off the post. GOAL Arsenal 0-1 Swansea - Bafetimbi Gomis mash and grab. Swansea catch Arsenal cold, with Jefferson Montero putting in a cross from the left and Bafetimbi Gomisheads home. Or does he? Yes... it's a goal. The linesman's arm is buzzing. David Ospina's attempt to scoop the ball from behind the line are in vain. I ain't happy I had £5 on a draw. I think the goal technology is great but really hope they don't bring in anymore technology.
Unfortunately the technology came too late for Clint's 1st Premier League goal - so glad for him that he popped one in this season that counted, for what could be his last opportunity at this level.
Shame it's not used in championship we'll have to rely on refs & linesmen eyesight next season. ...Ho hum. ..
Agree with Bushbaby, despite the majority, not all (Rob Green at Swansea), going againt us this season, I think most seasons it balances out over time. I'm not a big one for technology, can accept the whole goal line thing but it wouldn't be football for me if you can't have a good moan at the bad decisions after the game, weird? Maybe, but for me it' always been a part of the game.
How about microphones that detect contact (as in cricket). Hazard runs into the box and dives, no sound, no penalty. Scum would appeal against it. Microphones on refs (as in rugby), so we can hear everything Rooney blurts.
