Cards on the table I was agin it.But WBAvFulham would almost certainly have produced a 0-1 rather than a 1-1 leaving both teams on 24 rather than 25 and 21 respectively. What might that mean at the end of the season? It will be interesting to see.Good to see West Brom not hit by two decisions of that magnitude in a relegation fight.(The Chelsea Pen)
I have always been very pro. I feel that if it is possible to guarantee the correct decision is made then it should happen.
I feel exactly the same. The implementation of it was completely seamless and the technology doesn't slow the game down at all. If other technologies can be developed to help refs as easily, then I'm all for it.
I'm sure there's loads or interesting stuff that can be done. You could extend hawkeye to cover the sidelines too and they claim to be able to do offside too and are running tests in the Netherlands. Then you put the ref in contact with someone who can see the replays and the decisions will immediately improve.
It's pretty universally agreed that implementing available proven technology helps the officials get decisions correct which is surely in everyone's best interests. Perfectly acceptable in tennis, rugby and cricket (unless your name is M S Dhoni) - football should follow suit as soon as it can.
