Will the 'beautiful game' be overrun by technology in the future? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21505488 Once it is let in, will it be like opening pandora's box? Managers getting 3 calls like in tennis? I am pleased goal line technology will be introduced but I wouldn't like the game to become more stop start in the future with more decisions coming into play using new technologies. What do you think? (P.S. yeah I can't spell goal but not sure how to change the title )
Wonder when it will filter down to the lower echelons, or is it to be the preserve of International Competitions? As the game is now subjected to ever-increasing levels of media scrutiny, there is a general inability to accept that humans are only human, supporters all think that they know the rules inside out to a higher degree than match officials & managers and players alike think that they are mistake-free gods, then I suppose this was inevitable. Now that the day has arrived, I suspect that the slightly ajar door will soon be blown wide open. I fear that this will only spoil what was already a great product.
There has been a thread on this just started on our board as well about this. Please feel free to come and visit our humble board as well and have a look at what some of our posters think. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/197384-goal-line-technology Hope it's ok to advertise mods
