Hawkeye will be used but match officials will have no access to it! How can it be a proper trial if we cannot see its impact on the match? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18190250
Don't they have like goal line technology in Ice Hockey? Whenever the puck goes in it prompts the alarm and light to react. Not exactly incredible technology nowadays is it. In an age you can fly to the moon it can't be that complicated can it.
Aah, but we never flew to the moon, it's all a conspiracy theory. Who filmed Neil Armstrong climing down the steps of the spacecraft ?
No that's just a guy watching who presses a button. You see situations where it bounces back out a play continues. Then they review when play stops.
Wow, he must have good eyes, I wasn't completely sure to be honest. I thought they must do because how quick it rebounds out sometimes but fair enough, not a massive Ice Hockey follower in all honesty. I would not want to do that job myself.
john ruddy won't unfortunately be there to see the test, as he will be having his own trial to see if the ball crosses the line
Ice hockey is good fun, went to and NHL game when I was in Vancouver in January and follow it a bit. With the goal line tech i think it will be a massive improvement to the game not just for disputed goals but for quick announcing on goal in the stadium. Also the hawkeye could be used by tv well. Oh and armstrong was filmed on a camera mounted to the leg of the landing capsule of Apollo 11
What caused the shadows and the wind (the flag)? I love seeing the Hawk Eye at Wimbledon, would be great seeing it in football.
This is what really happened!
Unfortunately this is a football forum Warky, otherwise we could debate the USA's space travel conspiracy theories in more depth ......... WTF it is close season ........ Area 51 what's all that about ? please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
I spent over six months working in Calgary some 20 odd years ago.. I got the chance to see a fair few of their games.. It is quite correct, they use a strobe light which triggers so quickly it's like a continuos flash until the whole of the ball passes under the strobe (NOT) above it. Is this clever sure it is. Is it cheap? I did ask a guy who knows more than I do about these things and he said around 500 us Dollers each, this includes the fitting and viewing cam. Which is of course somewher up stairs. So to finish, IF say in our case the WHOLE of the ball does not pass this sensor the light will keep flashing. And is turned OFF via a simple switc from above.. and this ends any arguments whatsover. So, clever YES, Simple and cheap approx 1000 us Dollers per club YES. I last saw it working in the mid 80s so WHY NOT? Mr Blatter. Hope this helps. PS Congrats on youre excellent Season Norwich City
Moon landing guff.... The camera was in a box bolted to the leg of the lunar lander. Aldrin turned the camera on from inside, then near the top of the ladder there was a cable attached to the box. Armstrong pulled the cable and the box opened with the camera pointed at the ladder.
Well that explains it 100% then and there's definitely no doubt whatsoever that man did really land on the moon !
