Conducting a poll to see what people think , may even start a petition for video appeal technology - inspired by today's appalling refereeing between Manchester united and QPR. Video on this page and poll of goal line technology. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/135979-Video-and-Goal-line-appeal-technology-POLL
I dont believe in anything holding up play but at the end of the game maybe the ref and both managers could meet to see the replay and the final decision made on who wins after that. To keep it from getting out of hand managers can only use this appeal 3 times per season. If an appeal is made the goal can stand during the game but with an A next to it on the score board . ????
QPR robbed but so have many other teams this season. All for technology - providing there is no undue delay in the game.
Agree technology needs to be used ASAP. FIFA are to blame for this there heads in sand philosophy is disgraceful. Sooner this is introduced the better, but this should only be used for assessing if the ball has crossed the line.
Limit the challenges as in tennis - possibly 2 or 3 challenges per team per game maximum. Takes seconds to review and a video referee (possibly the fourth official) can adjudicate. Like egg-chasing. Works in other sports where there's less money involved so why not football? The inept and utterly corrupt Blatter has been the stumbling block but has apparently changed his mind recently. It will inevitably come.
we need it asap...and if a few calls hold the game up for 5/10 mins so what, it works in rugby u and league
why would anybody care from managers/payers and fans how long it would take to get the right decision. i dont get it...
The sooner goal line technology comes in the better and there has to be some sort of procedure in place to deal with diving/cheating. Perhaps a disciplinary panel like in rugby. That way Ashley Young could be banned for cheating and Shaun Derry's red card rescinded. We all know that QPR were robbed against Man Utd.
Not robbed at all. They were under the cosh for virtually the whole game and Man U were always going to win it imo. The pen should never have been given and Young dived. But Scholes's goal? They were under just as much pressure with 11 as they were with 10 so I still believe Man U would have comfortably won the game. A terrible decision for sure but robbed? Don't think so.
Ballotelli should have had a straight red card for his challenge on Song. Think the lads a big talent, but he does have a destructive side to him.
Mancini has said he will sell him. Think the lad should be thrown out of football, horrible excuse for a human being.
Don't think we've ever seen such a petulant away player at the Liberty, he did nothing at all to aid his team just became a figure of ridicule and got more and more wound up. The foul on Song yesterday was truly horrific and could have caused serious damage, how the ref missed it altogether is baffling. Have to say there have been some awful decisions by officials this season, they do need technical help with the game played at such a fast pace.
With confidence in the Refereeing fraternity at an all time low, surely at least goal line technology should be implemented sooner rather than later! Gets my vote............. please log in to view this image
Goal line technology? Long overdue. The reason why it has never been taken up in football? Corruption & Bribery.
the germans have used it as an experiment and it works a treat. we are to soft to go against FIFA the germans dont care....
