Taking one for the team as the saying goes. I wouldn't mind seeing an United player doing that

Fantastic from Suarez. Loved seeing the whole ITV commentary having a bitchfit just because they were so biased towards Ghana. Love it.

A team does need to do whatever it takes to win but you also hate to see things like that happen. I would rather see a same won on good football than things like that, although good football was in short supply in that WC.

He did it for his team and not his fault the Ghana guy missed the penalty which would put them through.

Correct. The last WC was in my opinion dire. Got slaughtered on the BBC's 606 for saying that. Was called a racist amongst other things.

The World Cup was dreadful to me. Poor, boring football that you have to watch with sounds off because the stadia were filled with idiots with huge plastic horns rather than football fans. I got some interesting comments coming my way on 606 too for saying that, apparently we should all just lick their bums solely because it's an African nation hosting the tourno. One of the things why I don't really miss 606

<ok> Yeah. Anyone who honestly didn't enjoy the tournament, hated those bloody horns, was bored by the below standard football as well as a little suspicious that FIFA awarded South Africa the right to host it sorely for political reasons; were branded as members of the KKK. How ridiculous is that!!! Are we not allowed to think anymore?

Generally in my lifetime, the only really brilliant tournament IMO was Euro 2008. Brilliant atmosphere in the hotbed of European football of Switzerland and Austria. Had Spain finally win the major tournament that they had threatened for decades since their last, brilliant, brilliant Holland during the groups stages destroying (albeit poor) Italy and France. But my abiding memory of that tournament was of course Turkey. If I remember correctly, was that semifinal against Germany the only game in the tournament where they had actually lead for more than 10 minutes? Their games against the Czechs, Croats and Germans were some of the best in Euro history.

I wonder what Irish Liverpool supporters (KPR and BBF) think of what Suarez did? Do you think they hate him and believe he is a cheat like they do with Theirry Henry?
