As an ex sailor and meeting a lovely couple on my hols who are Plymouth season ticket holders I actually feel bad for Plymouths plight so boo Stourbridge
After the way their fans were with us during our relegation to League One, Plymouth deserve all everything they get.
I suppose we all have certain clubs we want to come a cropper! For me, the list is; Plymouth Wolves West Brom Leeds Birmingham Villa Coventry Hull QPR Ipswich Southampton Bristol City Cardiff MK Dons Huddersfield Forest Derby Man U Liverpool Chelsea Arsenal West Ham And any other club which has ever beaten Leicester.
Well they are MK Dons for a start! They should be Wimbledon. They were also pretty miserable in the away game the other year. I got the feeling football was a new thing many were trying and they seemed most put out by the rowdy antics of Leicester fans. They seemed more natural rugby fans to me. A lot of clubs on that list are West Midlands clubs. About 10-12 years ago it would've been much easier being a Leicester fan in these parts.
Thank you Leeds 18. Something which may or may not be a fact is that I live in Stourbridge... I don't! I moved to Cradley Heath last June. I used to be able to see the Stourbridge floodlights from the garden of my old house.
I've lost all fondness for you now. Cradley Heath can suck balls. We've got a member from Kingswinford who's just signed up. He can be my new favourite not606er from the South West Birmingham Conurbation area.
To be fair, I liked Stourbridge more than I like Cradley Heath. We very nearly moved to Wordsley which is next to Kingswinford. I thought about changing my name but I have had it since 2006 so decided not to. It's only about 2 miles inaccurate!
liking Stourbridge more than Cradley isn't really a tough call is it S'bridge Fox? Always good to see the local non-leaguers doing well though. Lets hope they do Stevenage next up and then pull us out of the hat for the 3rd round at The War Memorial ground. Plenty of us Foxes around in this neck of the woods.
Leicester at the War Memorial Ground would be fantastic! (or should I say Bostin!) I'm not sure even League One would prepare foxes fans for it. I would definitely get a ticket, even though I can't walk to the ground any more. When did you move to the Black Country?
I came to Dudley from Lutterworth when I was 18........ errrrrr 33 years ago! and have been in the Black Country area ever since. Have managed to indoctrinate my eldest son as a die-hard Fox and I have another LCFC fan as my next door neighbour. Even Hereford away in League one is no preparation for the War Memorial!
I'm from New Parks originally (so Cradley Heath is like Kensington to me!) but was living in a flat off Hinckley Road when I met MrsStourbridgeFox about 6 years ago. I moved here and managed to convert her two daughters from a Chelsea fans and a Man U fan. I have, alas, failed to convert her son from Wolves! But it is his local club I suppose. There are no other Leicester fans in Cradley Heath as far as I am aware.
Id like to add Walsall to this list because at the time of our administration their chief exec Roy Whalley (not sure if he has a brolley) was very outspoken and their fans bombarded the lcfc official board with such vitriol. What a model club they were---I wonder if they still make a profit every year now
That's a good achievement converting both Chelsea and Man Utd fans, I can accept the Wolves bit as it's his local club. Of all the local clubs Wolves are the ones I have a bit of a soft spot for, having worked in Wolverhampton for most of my time in these parts and having plenty of friends who are Dingles. My eldest son was easy as he started as a small boy with the MoN era and a couple of trips to Wembley, I have totally failed with my younger son however who decided Liverpool was the team after that Champions League Final. It was a difficult time for him at first but he has got used to living in the shed. It's quite a coincidence living next door to another Fox and he is doing a good job with his son too, there is also another bloke who lives in the next street as well who is a Leicester fan. Fingers crossed for Stourbridge against Stevenage and then a third round tie with us then! If it happens I'll get you a pint in Stourbridge before the game
