Fletcher in all comps. played 295 scored 88 Bendtner in all comps played 234 scored 66 times Bentdtner has 30 European games in that as well though and most Sunderland fans were pleased to see the back of Bendtner, but they they are craving for Fletcher and he will be an answer to our prayers as a goalscorer. (I know different types of strikers, but still..) I hope I am wrong if we do get him, but i have a terrible feeling about this lad, that he will be a flop and just not as good as some on here think he will be
Bendtner has had service from Arsenal and Denmarks midfield. Fletcher has had it from Burnley and Wolves' midfield.

I cant say he will be a difinative failure, just like you cant say he will be a roaring success. Personally I just dont think he is very good and not really a step up (well atm anyone is a step up in the striker department, but as a club and where we want to be, I do not think he is the answer to all our prayers). If we do get him, I really hope you are right and I am left with egg on my face and he tears teams a new arsehole when we play against them. at this moment in time I just cant see it.

MoN willl go to ES with cap in hand and say "please sir can we afford this fella", and ES will take heed of MoN's years of experience and say "Yep, or **** of he's ****e, iv'e read about him on not 606".

Ah - happy days! I always liked Bob Lee and I remember Mel scoring at Roker to break a goal scoring drought that seemed to have lasted all season. I would be happy with Fletcher if MON wants him. Good solid pro and with good service I can see him getting 15+ goals for us this season, he will also create his fair share. He is not going to win the Golden Boot or single handedly shoot us in to Europe - if anybody could tell me who that player is (that we could realistically both attract and afford) then please let me know.
