It seems an awfully tight season with only 2 games left, barring any club financial malfeasance that may come out of the woodwork ! The 2 auto promotion spots are going to Leeds and Burnley, The first 2 playoff spots are set in stone for Sheffield United(1) and Sunderland(2). Playoff spots 3 and 4 are being contested by 7 clubs as it stands in the table (5th placed Bristol City to 11th placed Swansea). Mathematically speaking , the bottom 9 clubs could all possibly end up in the one of the 3 relegation places. Season end goal difference may be a factor of course, but the dominant factor for league position is points. If the definition of football's "On the beach" is those remaining with no chance of gaining a playoff spot or no chance of being relegated, we are currently talking about Watford, Wendies, Norwich and QPR. So take your boots, plastic balls, sun-block and deckchairs and make some alien supporters of other teams happy. Unless of course any of your two remaining games could effect Hull City's survival negatively.
[/QUOTE] We were on the beach most recently against Luton at home, but thankfully we've realised we still have work to do!
