Would it be right to say we have been joined by Glory Hunters at the Brit, because it is not very noise in the Boothen End has it was the first 2 seasons, i shout go mad at bad decision's,jump up and down, sing for the team, while all round just sit around and just clap now and again. Its not the same any more, when we bayed for blood, loved every crunching tackle, but may be its how we play,no pace no passion no idea a lot of matches. Pulis all-ways calls for the fans to get behind the team, but give us something to shout about, like a shot on goal,or a few passes to our own players, and please get rid of the yes men from the back room staff, because the players have been makeing the same mistakes for the last 2 seasons.
I have to agree and say yes. Where my season ticket is in block 10 I never have the same folks around me 2 games on the trot and they don't know the songs. I listen to the conversations and they hardly know the players either. Can't believe how many people leave with 10 minutes to go as well, most goals are scored late on?
I noticed a change at the end of the second season and by teh 3rd didnt recognise anyone around me, but like I said before Coates and Co doesn't give a sh4t because there are all these newbies who will buy a ticket - prime example was the FA Cup final!
Everyone around me is new and clueless! They are 50 odd and i reckon i've been to more games than yhem. It is a shame because like C4S said they just sit there, moan at everything, dont supoort the team and leave early! real shame if you ask me.
I was surprised by the amount of people leaving early at the Everton match, I couldn't go because of work, I have to walk past the Brit to get there, so I set out a bit earlier to avoid everyone coming out, and still had to fight my way through hundreds of early leavers, and this was at around 80 minutes.
Well apart from the seat right next to me, it's been non s/t for the whole of this season. I know around 40+ regulars around me. By regulars I mean those who have had STs forever. It is strange when after 35/40 mins half the Boothen End seem intent of getting too the bar first. I noticed the Everton game too! Dozens leaving early?? ANY REAL fan would not do that. I can not remember ever coming out the ground early what's the point? Had one guy next to me for the Villa game.. he said my wife got me a ticket for Xmas.. He did not have a clue and the atmosphere is no where near it was 2/3 season's back. A real shame but I honestly believe Pulis or PC do not care one jot. That's why I get hacked off with Pulis " We need the fans today" well I sing my bloody head off every game and it's about time we we're rewarded for doing that.
I have sat in the Boothen end a few times this season and couldnt believe the amount of pizz eds who just wanted to get to the bar. I spent more times standing up letting people in and out - its not the hard car fans it used to be 2 or 3 years ago! My season tickets were in the West stand, row 4 right by my mate TP. Apart from the fron 5 rows and about 10 seats along the rest were newbies at the beginng of the 3rd season! I als kno for a fact that from the end of season 2 in the prem there has been a 30%+ turnover of season ticket holders at the end of season 3! That is an awful retention, but Coates doesnt care because there are all these glory hunters who buy for a year and then dont renew!
