Congleton's thread about his sons last night made me think at the time there is just nothing that matches the feelings we are having tonight. As I said on his thread, the glory-hunters will never have this type of experience, to them winning is a blase experience. This was the stuff of legends tonight and only true supporters get this euphoria...

We have a Canadian twat at work who follows the scum. A little while back he said he didn't uderstand why people support small clubs who don't win anything, where's the fun in that!!! He'll find out tomorrow!!

 

Totally agree. See kids around here with United/City etc. etc. kits and feel sad they will never understand the true highs and lows of being a fan. Tonight was truly epic... still can't quite believe it!

Had a conversation this morning about how when QPR win its on a different scale than when the bigger teams win. It's what their fans expect so they go home satisfied. When we win it's the last thing we expect so tastes so much sweeter.

 

Its been the worst of my 33 seasons following the rrrr's till tonight. On the Fox stream I watched they were reminiscing on our last win at Stamford bridge in 1983 - also a night match - which I was at. Ashamed to say I ignored a text from rangers the other day saying there were still some tickets left for tonight. I was convinced it was all over after recent games. What a result! Wish I had gone. Thats why I love football, I'd almost forgotten.
