Great performance last night from the whole team just makes you wonder what that *****-looking **** Levein was up to on Friday. McGregor was outstanding again, you wonder how far he could go in the game if he gets his stupid side under control.

A few folk have said to me on here Whittaker was unlucky with the penalty but you can't put you arm above your head in the box it makes you stick out like a sore thumb to the linesman and ref. Although I did think Ramos conned the ref for the red card, it was a hard tackle but he won the ball. Can you not even tackle hard but fair these days?

I was actually impressed with Bardsley too he had a quiet but solid game.

The most annoying thing is that we play like that against the best International team for a generation but are ****e against the pish in our group.

Nothing at all to be ashamed about in that performance. Levein is still a trumpet though.

  2. nothing to be ashamed about? how about losin 3 very sloppy goals. McManus for the 3rd goal was just horrendous. Whittaker not only ****ed up to allow villa to get the ball but he blocked a shot with his hands that was goin over the bar and which would never of beaten mcgregor from that angle anyway. the 2nd goal was just a bit unlucky, still think we should of got it away tho. the czech's were there for the takin on friday and we missed the chance cos of levein's ridiculous tactic

Nev, how could McManus get another foot in the air to meet a world-beating cross right onto Llorente's foot. Mistakes are made in football, Spain had 75% of the ball they're going to create chances and they're going to score goals. The way they play football means they are going to get in behind your defense a lot unless you've got world class defenders. We've got a 40 y/o Weir and McManus at CB. We all know their limitations. Spain had 20 odd shots at goal.

You could take every save McGregor made and then look at the build-up to it and find mistakes, it could have been 6-2 and I'd still have been more impressed with us than I was on Friday. We were beaten by a team which are in a totally different class to us. Sometimes you just have to say; fair enough we were beat but at least took the game to them at times.

It's the Czech game, like you say, that sticks in the craw because you know they won't give Spain a game like that. We should have beaten the Czechs

Aye, so he did Nev. A world-class cross that would take any defender out the game but it's McManus' fault for not using his precognitive psychic ability to guess that a brilliant cross was going come flying in. <doh>

  6. If you dont think he ****ed up for that goal then ur seriously deluded. it was a school boy error. All McGregor's good work undone by a big lanky milk bottle.

Only folk I've seen say that are Rangers fans. Surprise surprise. If you don't think it was a world-class cross you know ****-all about football. The fact is that if anyone cost Scotland that game it was Whittaker, not McManus. Also Whittaker, if anything, should have come in to cover Llorente when the cross came in. But I wasn't going to pick holes in every mistake Scotland made because Spain created so many chances that it they were always going to get through us.

  9. Whittaker did sell the jerseys av already said that. he ****ed up twice for the 1st goal. but McManus' one was alot worse. how can u miss time a jump so much. he got nowhere near the ball when all he needed was a touch.

I don't rate McManus as good enough for Scotland anyway, just to clear up if you think I'm backing him because he's a Celtic man. I personally think Berra should be alongside Weir to give him experience. I don't think Mick was totally at fault for that goal though. It was a wicked cross and it was late in the game too after being battered by Spain. Plus that Llorente is a master of making space in the box. Been watching him for a while and he's totally underrated. He's a less awkward Peter Crouch.

On another note this made me laugh like ****; Peter Houston as Crocodile Dundee

Venom McManus has to take the blame for the 3rd goal. Not for his mistimed header but for not marking Llorente and going towards the ball. Only Llorente was in the box and all the other attacking Spaniards were marked. It doesn't matter if David Beckham crossed that ball in. Manus should have stayed with his marker no fail <ok>

God only knows Nev. Ramos and the ball was not his priority and any decent defender should know Llorente was his priority <doh>

I couldn't give a **** who he played/plays for he deserves the blame.

Usual Rocket anti anything Celtic <doh> I agree mcManus ****ed up, and even Venom says he's not good enough for Scotland. I'm still more ****ing angry that Levein made a totoal **** of it on Friday, and doesn't have the balls to admit to it <grr>. If we had played anything like that against the Czechs, we would have beat them. Simples.
